402 went to two camps this year, locally Camp Cedars and out of Council Many Point. Kellen created this Google drive for our Many Point photos.
We stayed at the Buckskin sub camp, the campsite’s name was Dixon. Buckskin has a traditional style dining hall.
Northern Star Council programming is a little different than Cedars. Instead of merit badges in the afternoon the Scouts do unit activities. The Scouts can also sign up for tier 1 or tier 2 adventures, based on age plus or minus 14 yrs old. Some adventures are afternoon, evening, or overnight.
Some Scouts did these overnights; Huck Finn(sleeping on a raft), Tree House(slept in a tree house), Fishing, etc. Each adventure had different activities. Huck Finn sounded like a lot of free time playing in the water. Tree house they learned how to climb a pole with spikes on their shoes. Fishing see photos of what they caught!
We may go back next summer, to both Cedars & Many Point. However, we may stay in Ten Chiefs sub camp, Red Cloud campsite. At Ten Chiefs, the units cook food at their campsite. It’s also stretched along the east side on Many Point Lake with lots of beach access 😉
Happy Summer!
