🚩 Human trafficking doesn't always look the way we expect.

Often, the first people to notice that something is wrong aren't professionals—they're friends, family members, teachers, coaches, or trusted adults.

Some warning signs may include:
• Sudden withdrawal from friends and family
• Secretive phone or online activity
• Unexplained gifts, money, or new possessions
• Significant changes in mood or behavior
• Frequent unexplained absences

While these signs don't automatically mean someone is being trafficked, they may indicate that a person needs support and a caring conversation.

💜 Trust your instincts.
💜 Pay attention to changes.
💜 Don't be afraid to check in.

Your awareness could make all the difference in someone's life.

We are excited to announce that Innocence Freed has been selected as a 2026 grant recipient of the HALT Human Trafficking Fund!

This grant will help expand our efforts to educate the public about human trafficking, increase awareness, and provide training to professionals, organizations, churches, parents, and communities.

Prevention begins with education, and we are grateful to the HALT Human Trafficking Fund for investing in initiatives that help communities recognize exploitation, protect vulnerable individuals, and respond effectively.

Thank you for partnering with us to bring awareness, prevention, and hope to those we serve. https://innocencefreed.org/

At Innocence Freed, we often meet survivors during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

A woman needs to get to work but doesn’t have gas in her car.
A young survivor wants to return to school but lacks the supplies she needs.
A young girl attends counseling appointments but has no reliable transportation.
A mother struggles to keep the lights on or afford groceries for the week.

Sometimes the difference between crisis and stability is smaller than most people realize. Through our Stability Grants and scholarships, we help survivors overcome immediate barriers so they can continue moving forward in healing, recovery, and independence.

💜 Will you help support a survivor today?

Protecting Vulnerable Youth

THURSDAY TRUTH: Children experiencing instability, homelessness, or involvement in the child welfare system face a higher risk of exploitation.

Every child deserves safety, support, and someone who cares enough to notice when something isn't right.

Together, we can help protect our most vulnerable.

Yesterday, another survivor of human trafficking reached out seeking faith-based safe housing with specialized support.

We are currently working alongside partner organizations to find placement in a faith-based recovery home anywhere in the United States. Unfortunately, finding trauma-informed, appropriate placement can be incredibly challenging, especially when a survivor has experienced multiple forms of severe trauma, sadistic, and abuse throughout her life.

Cases like this are a reminder that recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Survivors need individualized care, safe environments, trauma-informed curriculum, supportive communities, and programs equipped to walk alongside them on their healing journey long after the program.

This is also one of the many reasons Innocence Freed continues to pursue our vision of opening a peaceful and private home for survivors. The need is real. The requests for help continue to come. Too often, we find ourselves searching across the country for available placements because there are simply not enough safe, specialized housing options available.

Today, we ask for your prayers for this survivor and the others who continue to reach out, for wisdom as we navigate placement options, and for the many women and girls still waiting for a safe place to heal. 💜
