The Teen Center The Teen Center is a program inside Burke High School that provides in-school supports, after school programming and out of school supports.

Teen Center is an after-school program for primarily at-risk teens attending Burke High School. We are unique in that we are a partnership between a public school, private university and a church, working together to ensure our young people engaged in high level, relationship based, intentional programming. Our goal is 100% high school graduation and post-secondary commitment.

Becky Hand has joined our team as Program Coordinator. Born in California to a civil rights pioneer, Becky learned early about the world of advocacy and intentional love. A mom to four Teen Center alumni, Becky has been immersed, involved and committed to the Teen Center for over ten years. She has served on the Teen Center Board of Directors and volunteered in more capacities than can be named. With 20+ years in child development and 5 as a para-professional, Becky has provided detailed care and compassion - to toddlers to students with disabilities. Her guilty pleasures are cats, music, and ice cream. Please help us welcome her!
