Omaha…
When we say this community knows how to come together, this is absolutely not what we meant.

Together, we’ve accomplished something we didn’t think possible. Please never apply yourselves like this again.

Take the rest of the weekend off. Be good. We’ve had enough.

ABLE-1 from above following a stolen vehicle nonpursuit that has ended near 69th and Blondo Street. Four occupants took off running from officers. A white Infinity picked up one suspect but was pulled over. Two K9s responded and at least one was deployed and has bitten a suspect. Medics have been called.
OFD: E41 M41

Three suspects in custody so far. Officers trying to identity if one the occupants in the Infinity is one of the suspects. One suspect in custody has no shoes but officers have located shoes with no suspect.

M41 enroute to Immanuel Code 2 with a 17-year-old male who ran from the cops and got the fur missile. Has a puncture wound but no bleeding. He is uncooperative with medics.

The Infiniti is not involved. Suspect ran in front of that vehicle while running from the officers.

Vehicle fled non pursuit…

On Saturday night, CAT deputies were conducting speed enforcement on West Dodge Road near I-680. An orange motorcycle, driven by Christopher Riggs, approached eastbound at 99 mph in the 45 mph zone. ABLE-1 was notified and began tracking the motorcycle. Another CAT deputy attempted a traffic stop at 76th & Dodge Street. Riggs decided the traffic stop was optional and fled northbound. While fleeing, the motorcycle was observed lane splitting, speeding, and running multiple red lights.

Riggs circled back to westbound Dodge Street and approached 78th Street, where original deputy was waiting for him. While Riggs was coming up to the light, deputies removed him from the motorcycle and he was taken into custody.

❌ People continue to test Douglas County-area law enforcement by fleeing from traffic stops. It doesn't work. Running from a traffic stop is an easy way to pick up a felony charge, lose your driver's license, lose your vehicle, or worse. It's not worth it.

If you have further information on the driving of Mr. Riggs, please contact us at 402-444-6000 or [email protected]. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
