Hatred And Envious Behaviors Will Never Resolve Our Problems
Hatred and jealousy only lead to distraction for both human lives and properties. Therefore, we need to refrain from destroying ourselves and everything else that God has given to each one of us. Forgiveness is the only way forward if we really care enough for the future of our people who have been suffering for so long, and for the sake of the stability and development of our nation.
Planting seeds of hatred and jealousy among brothers and sisters, will always sabotage all the efforts intended to foster peace building and striving to work together for the sake of unity among our people and Restoration of our reputation among the nations of the world.
We also need to educate our people to do the right thing for their people and nation and to stop supporting the negative behaviors, which always cause problems in our country. This would help our people focus on the developmental projects that would pave the way towards stability in our country.
Another point I wanted to talk about is the high expectations our people put on the government. All of us can attest to the trends around power struggles that have resulted in numerous human sufferings and deverstations of properties in our nation for so long. No one else, but It's us who can reverse these trends.
In reality, our people need to understand that, no way any government would be able to provide everyone a position in any nation. One of the terrible mistakes we are making is the fact that most of us become dependent on the government to provide them with jobs.
Evidence shows that when someone gets a job, he or she becomes happy with the government, but when the time comes for him or her to be relieved so that someone else can get the same opportunity, it becomes a big problem!
Due to such trends in the political arena, we would be better off if we can work on changing this mindset of dependency on the government because people themselves can bring developments to their communities and nations in different ways.
Government exists only when there are people. Therefore, the most important demand that we, as citizens of the Republic of South Sudan, can place on the government is the provision of security to all the citizens in their communities or the cities.
This will enable people to be able to do their own business in any part of the country without fear from anyone or anything while conducting their business.
Together, we can bring lasting peace and unity among our people, and together, we can alleviate the suffering of our people and build a stable and prosperous nation.
