We already know there has been a need for this, as a few individuals have already reached out and some of these donated clothes have already gone directly to people who needed them. That is what community is all about.

It’s National Recurring Donor Week, and there’s no better time to talk about the power of community support. ❤️

Adaptive Crossroads is still new, but the vision behind what we are building for Omaha is something truly special. We are creating inclusive opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities through fitness, life skills, cooking classes, art programs, recreation, social events, wellness education, and so much more.

As a growing nonprofit, recurring donors are the backbone of making these programs possible. They allow us to plan ahead, grow sustainably, purchase supplies, and continue building programs that we hope to offer at little to no cost for the individuals and families we serve.

Our current goal is to build toward $3,000 a month in community support to continue expanding programs and opportunities throughout Omaha. The amazing thing is… small monthly donations truly add up.

Just 10 people giving even $10 a month helps us continue creating meaningful opportunities, building inclusive spaces, and opening doors for individuals who deserve a place to belong.

🌱 BIG NEWS FROM ADAPTIVE CROSSROADS 🌱

We are officially launching our Adaptive Crossroads Community Garden Program at our NEW LOCATION and we could not be more excited for what is ahead!

This program will create hands-on opportunities for individuals of all abilities to learn life skills, build confidence, stay active, and connect through gardening, wellness, teamwork, and community inclusion.

We are looking for volunteers, community partners, businesses, and families who want to help us grow something special together this summer. No gardening experience needed!

🌱 Huge Thank You to The Big Garden 🌱

We are incredibly grateful to The Big Garden for donating plants to Adaptive Crossroads so we can officially start our community garden this year!

This is about so much more than gardening. Our goal is to create hands-on opportunities for individuals of all abilities to learn life skills, build confidence, practice teamwork, stay active, and experience the joy of growing something together.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with planting, maintenance, building garden beds, teaching skills, and supporting our participants throughout the summer.

Happy Belated Mother’s Day from all of us at Adaptive Crossroads. 💜💚

This weekend, while we were spending time with family and making memories camping, we also took a moment to reflect on all of the incredible moms, grandmas, caregivers, and support systems who pour so much love into the lives of others every single day.

So many of the individuals we serve are where they are today because someone believed in them, advocated for them, encouraged them, and never gave up on them. That kind of love deserves to be celebrated far beyond just one day.

To every mother and caregiver in our community, thank you for the sacrifices you make, the strength you show, and the love you give. You are a huge part of why organizations like Adaptive Crossroads exist and continue to grow.

We hope everyone had an amazing Mother’s Day weekend filled with family, laughter, and memories. We are excited for all the upcoming programs, partnerships, and opportunities still ahead as we continue building Every Path to Possibility together. 💚💜

This week, Adaptive Crossroads had the opportunity to provide Healthy Habits and Kitchen Confidence programming for participants at Hands Of Heartland

During Healthy Habits, individuals focused on positive daily routines, healthier food choices, and ways to build more independence in everyday life.

In Kitchen Confidence, everyone came together to create a fun Cinco de Mayo themed nacho bar. Participants practiced important cooking and life skills by helping prep ingredients, organize supplies, safely cut and assemble toppings, and work together as a team to build their meals. Activities like this help strengthen confidence, communication, teamwork, and independence while creating a fun social environment for everyone involved.

This is exactly why we created Adaptive Crossroads. We love building hands-on programs that make learning real-life skills engaging, social, and meaningful for individuals of all abilities.

📢 Big news for Adaptive Crossroads!

We are excited to officially be a part of the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands community alongside so many incredible organizations making a difference across Nebraska and beyond.

As a growing nonprofit, partnerships and connections like this are extremely important to us. Being surrounded by organizations that believe in inclusion, opportunity, education, and community impact helps us continue building programs for individuals of all ages and abilities.

At Adaptive Crossroads, our mission is simple. We want to create more opportunities for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities through fitness, life skills, recreation, wellness, social connection, and community involvement. This is another exciting step forward as we continue growing and expanding our reach.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out this weekend for our Adaptive Crossroads Mother’s Day Art Event. Seeing individuals, families, volunteers, and supporters come together to create, socialize, laugh, and build connections is exactly why we started this organization.

Events like these are more than just crafts. They create confidence, friendships, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals of all abilities to feel welcomed and supported.

We truly could not do this without community support. Every donation, shared post, volunteer, and partnership helps us continue building accessible programs and events for our community.

We had such a fun night supporting the 8th Annual Building the Future Gala with Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands.

Nights like this are exactly what we are here for at Adaptive Crossroads. Bringing people together, supporting incredible organizations, and being part of something bigger than ourselves. The energy, the smiles, and the shared mission in the room were something special.

We are here to build alongside organizations like this, create more opportunities, and continue growing access for individuals and families of all abilities. This is how real impact happens.
