Incredible news coming out of the GALA Choruses Leadership Symposium in Columbus! Sound Mosaic just pitched in the "Shark Tank" grant competition and walked away with a $5,000 grant to launch our brand-new project: Rainbow Ukes with Youths!
This isn't your average music class. We’re bringing together local youth to build, paint, and play their own DIY ukuleles. From gluing the bridges to splashing on the glitter at our "Art Station," these youths will literally build their own voices from the ground up.
The journey culminates in a "Intergenerational Jam"—a collaborative performance with our Sound Mosaic adult choir, where we’ll use our audio-visual technology to turn their first strums into a permanent piece of digital community art.
We are so honored that the GALA judges recognized the power of intergenerational joy and "maker-space" creativity. Olympia, get ready—we’re about to make some beautiful noise together!
