The Tampa Bay Bailliage celebrated the end of summer with a wonderfully relaxed Jimmy Buffett Day gathering at the Tampa Yacht Club, and it is safe to say that a good time was had by all.

In keeping with the island theme, the evening featured Cheeseburgers in Paradise, conch salad, fried oysters and other coastal favorites, accompanied, naturally, by some exceptional wines and even a Landshark beer and a suitably tropical spicy margarita.

The dress code was pure island life, colorful shirts, tropical prints and plenty of Tommy Bahama spirit. More importantly, it was a terrific opportunity to spend time together in a casual setting, welcome some new members and enjoy exactly what makes La Chaîne so special: great food, great wine and, above all, great people.

A wonderful way to say goodbye to summer in Tampa Bay. 🌴🥂🍔🦪

Mondiale Wine & Dine: Old World vs. New World

Members of the Société Mondiale gathered for an engaging evening of wine education and camaraderie at Vintage Wine Cellars in Tampa. Led by wine expert Kevin Pelley of Reyes Beverage Group, the tasting explored the fascinating differences between Old World and New World wines through seven carefully selected examples from France, California, and Patagonia.

Guests compared classic French Chablis, Beaune Premier Cru, and Médoc with New World Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Malbec Blend, and Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Throughout the evening, members discussed how climate, terroir, and winemaking traditions influence each wine’s style and character.

A thoughtfully curated selection of artisan cheeses—including Apple Wood Cheddar, Thomasville Tomme, and French Brie Étoile—complemented the tasting and enhanced the educational experience.

The evening concluded with lively conversation, shared discoveries, and a renewed appreciation for the diversity of the world’s wine regions. Events like these embody the mission of the Société Mondiale by bringing together members who share a passion for wine, education, and fellowship.

The Tampa Bay Baillage showed up and showed out for World Chaine Day! The University Club Of Tampa and Chef Brian Clayton put on an amazing dinner. Somellier Preston Kreisler brought some amazing wines, starting with a sparkling Resiling! Who knew? Vive la Chaine!

The Tampa Bay Bailliage of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs gathered for a memorable induction ceremony at the beautiful Tabellas on February 21st. The evening marked several meaningful milestones for our Bailliage. We celebrated seven years of dedicated leadership by Jennifer Arney, welcomed Don Scott as our new Bailli, and Ray Kelly was honored to be elevated to the role of Vice Conseiller Gastronomique. We were also delighted to induct five new members into our fellowship.
It was a wonderful night of fine cuisine, thoughtfully paired wines, warm camaraderie, and a ceremony that reflected the spirit and traditions of La Chaîne. Tampa Bay continues to build something special around the table, and it is a privilege to be part of it.

Absolutely fabulous casual "pre-holiday" holiday gathering with our Tampa Bay Chaine members and guests, the afternoon of November 9th. The cuisine was Northern Italian, hearty and delightfully imaginative, from the always creative mind of Chef Buttacavoli. All of the wines were paired perfectly with the cuisine and region. Chef Michael and his staff took superb care of us all! Vive la Chaine!
