Dear Culinary Student,
The VooDoo Chef Foundation is proud to invite select Senior Culinary Students to apply for the VooDoo Chef Baking & Pastry Challenge, presented by Avocados from Mexico.
This exciting culinary competition will take place on April 2, 2026, at the Hillsborough Culinary Academies at Erwin Technical College in Tampa, Florida. The event will showcase some of the regionās most talented young culinary professionals as they demonstrate their baking skills in a fast-paced and creative environment.
During the competition, students will demonstrate their baking and pastry abilities through the preparation of several classic and contemporary techniques including:
⢠Choux Dough Production
⢠Quick Bread Preparation
⢠Cookie Production
⢠Cake Decorating, and
⢠A Composed Plated Dessert
This yearās featured baking creations include:
⢠Blackened Sweet Potato Cheddar Biscuits with Blackened Agave Chive Butter
⢠Tennessee Hot Cookies topped with Strawberries and Cream Cheese
⢠Bacon and Bleu Cheese Choux Fries
Once accepted into the competition, each competitor may select two junior culinary students from their school to serve as Baking Assistants during the competition, providing a unique opportunity to mentor the next generation of culinary professionals.
The entire competition will be professionally filmed for streaming across all VooDoo Chef digital platforms, showcasing the incredible talent emerging from the high school culinary programs in the Tampa Bay Area.

The application deadline is March 12, 2026.
Students selected to compete will receive an official Letter of Acceptance along with the required recipes and production guidelines via email.
This challenge is designed to celebrate skill, creativity, and passion for the baking and pastry arts while continuing the VooDoo Chef Foundationās mission of supporting the next generation of culinary leaders.
