Looking for a family friendly adventure this weekend?
You are cordially invited to the Love Without Borders: For Refugees in Need Art Show and STEAMM Experience (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math and Mindfulness) this Sunday, November 10th from 12-4 pm in the Barbara and Peter Ferentinos Health Science Building lobby on the NYIT Campus (Northern Boulevard) in Old Westbury. This free family friendly event (children are encouraged and all are welcome) will feature the following:
-Love Without Borders Art Show: For Refugees in Need
A traveling exhibit featuring art created by children and adult refugees currently living in refugee camps and housing communities in northern and central Greece. This exhibit has traveled to over 40 cities around the world. All works of art will be available for purchase. -Family Friendly Activities (Ages Two and Up):
Lava Lamp Night Light Making using natural organic dyes, spices, and creating various chemical reactions.
The Art of Mindfulness using spices from the Middle East and the Congo such as cinnamon, cardamom, cumin, turmeric and mint.
-A Traditional Syrian Lunch and Dessert (Complimentary)
-Outdoor Activities on the NYIT Campus
The perfect opportunity to explore our beautiful hiking trails,new pickle ball and tennis courts, our mindfulness path and garden and see what NYIT college has to offer.
