Axi is spending the day at the Michael J. Fox Foundation research update, and there’s a resource being shared that we just had to pass along to our incredible community.

Being a care partner is such an essential role, but it’s also one that comes with its own unique set of challenges. If you’re supporting a loved one with Parkinson’s, please know that you don’t have to do it alone.

The MJFF guide, "Facing Parkinson’s Together," is a truly wonderful resource designed specifically for you. It offers support, advice, and the reminder that we’re all in this together: just like these two supporting each other on the road!

You can find the guide right here: michaeljfox.org/care-partners

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything you do. We're so glad to have you in our community.

The New England Parkinson’s Ride didn’t exactly start in a fancy corporate office. It started with a classic "fine, we’ll do it ourselves" moment. 🚲

When Chris Woods was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 41, his parents, Edna and Bob, went looking for a New England-based ride to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation. They searched high and low, but found… zero. Zip. Nada.

So, being the motivated parents they are, they decided to build their own. What began as a small group of 35 determined riders in 2008 has grown into a massive family of thousands, all riding toward one goal: a cure.

The best part? 100% of every rider-raised dollar goes directly to MJFF for research. That’s been the rule since Day 1, and it’s not changing.

We’re still here, still riding, and still fueled by that same "can-do" spirit Edna and Bob started with. Whether you’re riding 10 miles or 100, you’re part of the Woods family legacy now!

Did you know your pedals actually have superpowers? 🦸‍♂️🚴‍♀️

It’s true! When you ride with the New England Parkinson’s Ride, 100% of every single dollar raised by our incredible riders goes directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. No detours, no administrative pit stops, just straight to the science that brings us closer to a cure. 🧪✨

Fun fact: Together, we’ve built something truly special. We are officially the largest independent fundraiser for MJFF in the entire world! (Yeah, we’re kind of a big deal, but only because of our amazing community. 😉) 🧡

Whether you’re tackling 10 miles or the full 100, the magic all starts and ends at The Ball Park in Old Orchard Beach. Come for the ride, stay for the ocean breeze, and leave knowing you’re part of the team changing the future of Parkinson’s research.

Ready to keep this momentum rolling? We can’t wait to see you out there! 🚲💨

Why do we ride?

It’s a question we get asked a lot, and the answer is simple: we ride for a cure.

Every single mile covered at the New England Parkinson’s Ride is fueled by hope and a shared mission with The Michael J. Fox Foundation. We are so proud to share that 100% of all funds raised by our incredible riders go directly to MJFF to fund high-impact research.

When you join us at Old Orchard Beach, you aren't just participating in a cycling event. You are becoming a vital part of the global effort to end Parkinson’s Disease. From the 10-mile beginners to the 100-mile pros, every pedal stroke brings us closer to a world without PD.

We ride for our parents, our siblings, our friends, and ourselves. We ride because together, we are stronger than this disease.

Ready to make an impact? Let’s keep this momentum going!
