This June, Options Save Lives is focusing on one powerful goal: spreading awareness of evidence-based treatment for alcohol use disorder.

The Sinclair Method is changing lives, but too many people still don’t know it exists. Through education, outreach, and community engagement, we’re working to make sure more individuals have access to effective, science-backed options.
Throughout the month, we’ll be sharing resources, insights, and stories to help break stigma and expand understanding.

“A cheap pill to stop drinking?”

That headline dropped yesterday in the Daily Mail.

And I’ll be honest…

I love seeing articles like this.

Not because they get everything right.

But because they finally start to open the door to a different conversation.

For years, most people have been told the same thing:

👉 “Just stop”
👉 “Cut back”
👉 “Try harder next time”

And when that doesn’t work?

They blame themselves.

But what if the issue isn’t effort?

What if it’s understanding?

Because the reality is…

There is a medication being talked about.

And it can help.

But it’s not a magic pill.

And the way it’s being explained in the headlines is only scratching the surface.

This is exactly why I wrote this blog post.

To break it down properly.

To explain what’s actually going on in the brain.

And why this approach is completely different to what most people have been shown before.
