This looks like it could be fun for the kiddos!

🌟Join us for an interactive scavenger hunt through the Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture designed by and for youth and young adults. Explore Deaf history, discover hidden stories, and unlock trivia questions using QR codes throughout the museum.🌟

At each stop, you’ll scan a QR code to watch a short ASL video and/or read an English translation, then use what you learn to answer questions and collect points. Come with friends or join a team when you arrive—no prior knowledge of Deaf history or sign language is required.

​This activity is led by MDHAC youth volunteer Lilly Heller, who is Deaf, with a sign language interpreter provided to ensure full access for Deaf and hearing participants, signers and nonsigners alike.

When: Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Cost: FREE
Audience: Designed for teens, college students and young adults!

This session is designed for hearing parents of Deaf and hard-of-hearing children who want to better understand Deaf culture and community. Learn from Deaf presenters about identity, communication, and how to support your child’s language development and connection to the Deaf community.

Presented in ASL with interpretation into English and Spanish. Free and open to families.

Yesterday our team had the opportunity to provide Chick-Fil-A lunch to students at Kansas School for the Deaf who won the raffle drawing that we sponsored at family BINGO night last week!

We love supporting our deaf community, especially helping make fun memories for students at KSD! 🤟🏼

Earlier this week, we had the wonderful opportunity of joining Kansas School for the Deaf to sponsor raffle prizes for their first ever Books & Bingo family night!

Thanks to your support, we were able to provide- a Chick-Fil-A classroom lunch party, tickets to the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium and a box of cookies from the local KCookie company.

The turnout (100+ attendees!) was incredible and we cannot wait to do this again!
