Fight Temptation

When people are tempted, they should not say, "God is tempting me." Evil cannot tempt God and God himself does not tempt any one.
JAMES 1:13 NCV

God does not tempt us. When we feel the urge to compromise, it is never from God. He is the embodiment of truth, and there is no shadow or falsehood in him. He does not lie, and he does not shame or trick us. He isn't waiting for us to mess up, and he isn't keeping a record of how many times we fail.

God readily gives you strength to resist temptation. He is eager for you to lean on him when your biggest weakness threaten to overwhelm you. He has already equipped you with the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word. Fill your heart with truth, and it will come to mind when you need it most. Go into the battles of life expectant that God will fight with you and for you.

Father, I don't want to blame you, for the things are not from you. Help me discern your will and give me strength to fight temptation. When I am weak, remind me of the truth.

It's that time again!
Tank-Full Tuesday.

Every Tuesday we set out to our spot toting a hot meal, food clothing and supplies.

But that's not all we bring. We bring guidance. We bring connection, scripture and prayer. We bring a sense of togetherness and family.

Our intentions are not only to fill the proverbial tank (belly) But the tanks of the mind and spirit aswell.

Tonight we have a visitor, Christian Church of Crescent will be joining us with a plethora of clothing!
The last time they came, they brought the most delicious food. And homemade bread! We feel so blessed to be working with such a wonderful support, and caring church.
