A huge shout out to the land owners allowing us to utilize their land to put on a great hunt test weekend! And to the volunteers that helped make this hunt test weekend a success. To the judges for the amazing set-ups and always challenging the Dogs and Handlers. Giving us those real life hunting experiences! To the SRC board members making sure it all came together behind the scenes.

What Rex Carr understood

Rex Carr trained more Field Trial Champions than almost anyone in the history of the sport. Handlers traveled from all over the country to watch him work. Pat Burns was one of them.

What Pat took away from Rex wasn't a set of drills. It was a way of seeing. Understanding what the dog was actually telling you. Knowing the difference between a dog that had learned something and a dog that had learned to avoid something. Recognizing when smooth reps were building real foundation and when they were just rehearsals waiting to fall apart under pressure.

Pat spent the next four decades putting that into a system that regular handlers could actually use. Not professional trainers with 24 dogs and eight hours a day. Regular people with one dog, a few days a week, and a real goal.

On May 13th he's sharing the core of that system in a free live workshop. If your dog is in basics right now or starting to show cracks, this is the session that changes how you see what you're working with.

It is a great tool for evaluating where you and your dog are strong or weak as well as giving you an idea of various skills you and your dog need to be learning.

When used regularly and properly, it helps solve the problem of “I don’t know what I should be working on”.

So, Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to get that final tune up in and learn some great training skills!

Please mark your calendars for the upcoming training days! These are the monthly training days for the rest of the year!! With the heat in June, July, August we will start earlier to make sure we have time to get all the dogs ran before the heat. Keep a lookout on FB and email each month for the focus training along with the set up for Jr/Sr/Master/FT set ups. We accommodate every level that we have. We look forward to seeing everyone!
