It was a great afternoon with Americas Future Leaders. I felt honored and privileged to share about the work we do at First American Title, Folds of Honor and Empower the Veterans. Empowering our youth is what we are all about. Finally, great to spend time with Choctaw JROTC. Reminded me about my early years in uniform. Proud of these special cadets! Proud to continue to serve my nation and my community! Hoorah! Godspeed!

National Flag Day is observed annually on June 14 to commemorate the adoption of the United States flag on that date in 1777 by the Second Continental Congress. While it is not a federal public holiday, it is widely celebrated with patriotic parades, flag retirements, and community ceremonies.

Key Historical DetailsThe First Flag: On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress resolved that the flag of the United States would consist of 13 alternating red and white stripes and 13 white stars on a blue field, representing the original 13 colonies.

Official Designation: President Woodrow Wilson issued the first presidential proclamation for a national Flag Day in 1916. In 1949, President Harry S. Truman signed an Act of Congress officially establishing June 14 as National Flag Day.

National Flag Week: The week containing June 14 is officially designated as National Flag Week. During this time, the President issues a proclamation asking all citizens to display the American flag at their homes and businesses.

Happy Wednesday in America. On behalf of the Major Ed Empower The Veterans Foundation Board of Directors, our donors, President Larry Wasson, and the ETV Team, including Teri Gaines-Lichliter, John Bawden, and Colorado Executive Scott Braucher, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our congratulations to the Stingers Foundation for being one of this year's beneficiaries of the Monday After the Masters Golf Event proceeds. Your work in teaching the game of baseball to youth from veteran families is truly exemplary. We offer our sincerest appreciation for the collaboration and strategic partnership. We wish you continued success. Godspeed!
