Focus on Home

To serve families in need by providing the means for a dignified home, creating a clearer path towards a stronger future.

The purpose of Focus on Home is to help families integrate into a healthy family lifestyle. We work closely with partnering agencies to identify clients in need and on their personal path to improvement. Our clients are families who are currently living in sub-standard environments. Once a client has been referred to our program, we will work with them to create a personalized home environment bas

ed on their specific needs. We will work with the community to repurpose gently used furniture and housewares in the creation of the client’s home. Enabled with the help of volunteers, Focus on Home will set up the new home environments for our clients; helping those families put their energy, time and resources into creating a positive future. Through our encouragement of volunteerism we are contributing to a stronger sense of community by helping and serving others.

Focus Family Friday ✨

Today we’re celebrating a mom whose determination, resilience, and commitment to her family are truly inspiring.

After being separated from her two sons for nearly eight years, this single mom worked tirelessly to get to Phase 4 of the ReMerge Inc. program and take the necessary steps to be reunited with her children. Through hard work, courage, and dedication, she now has her boys back in her custody and is building a new chapter for their family.

She has been sober since April 2025 and continues to thrive in her community. ReMerge describes her as an outstanding member of the recovery community…someone who is always willing to offer a helping hand when others need support.

We were honored to help furnish their home and create a space where this family can continue growing, healing, and making memories together.

This week, we’re celebrating a hardworking mom of four who was referred to us through ReMerge Inc. and also works at Restore OKC. (We love seeing organizations come together to support families in our community.)

She is dedicated to creating a stable future for her children, and it’s inspiring to see her commitment to providing the best life she can for them!

focusonhome_teenboard had so much fun putting this one together! Especially, designing the bedroom for her children! It’s now a space filled with comfort, creativity, and room to just be kids.

Focus Family Friday ✨

After fleeing domestic violence and relocating from Texas, this courageous mom and her daughter were searching for a place to call their own.

Referred to us by both palomarokc and Positive Tomorrows, they were eager to start fresh and on solid footing.

This hardworking mom has completed a work readiness program, secured a job, and is building a bright future for her family. Our team was honored to furnish their home.

Today, we are featuring a sweet mom and daughter who were referred to us by , after spending time at , while working toward a fresh start.

For the first time, the two of them now have a space to call their own! We love that they have a home where they can feel safe, settled, and hopeful for what’s ahead.

Our goal was to make it feel fresh, comfortable, and welcoming…a place they could truly be proud of as they begin this new chapter together. ❤️

Focus Family Spotlight ✨

This is a reminder us that home is about so much more than furniture, it’s about hope, healing, and creating space for new beginnings.

This mom was referred to us through and is currently thriving in phase three of the program. She is working incredibly hard toward reunification with her six children, and we are so proud of the progress she’s making.

Right now, three of her children are able to stay with her for periods of time, so our team worked to create a cozy, welcoming home where everyone can gather together.

We are cheering her on every step of the way!

Yesterday was something special.

We are so grateful for .okc and the incredible team they brought out to serve alongside us during our move-in. From helping us select the finishing touches, to making a last-minute store run to fill in a few gaps in our supplies, to even running to their personal home to donate the perfect chair! They showed up in every way that mattered.

What meant just as much as their hard work was the heart behind it. Their team jumped in with joy, kindness, and a willingness to do whatever was needed to make this home feel complete. You could truly see how moved they were by the experience, and that kind of compassion leaves a lasting impact…not just for the family, but for our organization.

Because of this team, this space isn’t just furnished, it’s filled with care, dignity, and love.

Thank you for being part of something bigger and making this house into a beautiful home!
