🧺We’re looking for Laundry Volunteers!

Our warehouse laundry plays an important role in preparing homes for families transitioning into stable housing. We’re looking for individuals or groups willing to help us wash, dry, and fold linens at our OKC warehouse.

If you have a few hours to give and don’t mind tackling some laundry, we’d love to have you on our team!

What a great Saturday!

We were honored to be part of Day of Hope at MACU, where an incredible group of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped us build furniture for upcoming key2homeokc move-ins.

Together, they assembled:
-15 nightstands
-12 coffee tables
-5 dining table & chair sets
-12 cubby units to be used for clothing storage

That’s a LOT of furniture and a whole lot of impact!

Thank you to Mid-America Christian University for inviting us and for the tremendous help in preparing furniture for neighbors who are starting a new chapter. Thank you to every volunteer for your hard work, your enthusiasm, and your genuine friendliness throughout the day!

We’re so grateful for partnerships that turn a day of service into hope for families.

Tomorrow from 9:00a-Noon, bring your gently used household donations to Day of Hope at Mid-America Christian University. One of our box trucks will be parked in the parking lot outside the student center and will be ready to welcome your items! (Please see the second photo for a list of items we accept.)

We are grateful for the student volunteers who will be helping us assemble furniture for key2homeokc, during this event!

FOCUS FAMILY FRIDAY ✨

Today, we’re celebrating a mom who is building a brighter future for herself and her eight year old daughter…one determined step at a time.

She was referred to us by RestoreOKC. Her caseworker describes her as dedicated and says that she works tirelessly every day to overcome barriers, all while holding onto her incredible spirit of determination and resilience. Her vision for the future is just as inspiring: she dreams of building a career in the medical field and is committed to creating a healthy, stable future for her daughter.

Even though she hasn’t always had much, she is a forward-thinker who sets goals, looks ahead, and refuses to let her circumstances define what’s possible for her family.

We’re honored to come alongside families like this one as they work toward stability, independence, and the future they envision.

One night. Creative freedom. Maximum impact.

At Design Appétit, some of Oklahoma City’s most talented designers and chefs are given a space, a table and the freedom to create.

The result? No two experiences are alike.

This October, 20 creative teams will bring their own interpretation of ‘In Full Spectrum’ to life through design, food and an experience created entirely for Design Appétit.

And every ticket, sponsorship and table helps Focus on Home create something even more meaningful beyond the event: homes of comfort, dignity and stability for families in our community.

Meet the teams beginning next week. 55 days until showtime!

Something extraordinary is coming to the table.

Design Appétit returns October 21–22 for its 10th year.

Oklahoma City’s creative community is coming together once again as incredible designers and chefs transform individual spaces into immersive experiences where design, food and imagination collide.

And this is only the beginning.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll introduce the creative teams bringing it all to life.

Save the dates. Design Appétit is coming.
