💙 The hardest part of caregiving isn't always the caregiving. Sometimes it's the emotions that come with it.
If you're helping an aging parent, you may have felt some of these emotions...
• Feeling guilty because you don't think you're doing enough.
• Feeling overwhelmed by all the decisions.
• Feeling exhausted from trying to balance work, family, and caregiving.
• Feeling heartbroken as you watch someone you love change.
• Feeling alone because it seems like no one else truly understands.
If you've experienced any of those feelings, you're not alone.
Caregiving is one of the most loving things a person can do—but that doesn't mean it's easy. It's okay to admit that some days are hard. It's okay to ask questions. It's okay to seek support.
At ACAP Oklahoma City, we believe caregivers deserve more than just information—they deserve encouragement, practical resources, and a community that understands the journey.
That's why we exist.
