The condition of your heart matters so much to God that He sent Christ Jesus as the only cure to the leprous ailment that contaminates it still today - sin.

What are the different things are considered by man and the Lord in 1 Samuel 16:7?

What was altogether evil all the time in Genesis 6:5?

What is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick in Jeremiah 17:9?

Where do evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, arrogance, and foolishness come from according to Mark 7:21-23?

Take some time today and lay your heart bare before the Lord.
May we pray as David did in Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Questions and fears are rampant.
News. Weather. Wars.
Trends. Wickedness. Confusion.
Corruption. Deception. Division.

Yet, in Christ, we have a beautiful hope. Are you familiar with this hope? Scripture calls it the hope that "does not disappoint."

"And He died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for Him who for their sake died and was raised." 2 Corinthians 5:15

Jesus died for many reasons, including this one: to save us from a life dominated by selfish ambition. All the obsessive and consuming "I", "Me", "My", and "Mine" of life are rooted in the sin of pride. This verse redirects us from the idolatry of self and points us toward the only ambition that truly frees—exalting Jesus Christ!

If you are consumed with thoughts of your own rights, demands, desires, and disappointments, there is hope for you. Please reach out for help to combat one of life's dominating sins.

Every scroll is my relaxation all the day."

"Oh how I love YouTube shorts!
Every video is my place of peace all the day."

"Oh how I love Instagram Reels!
Even the comments are my relief all the day."

In stark contrast the psalmist in Psalm 119:97 writes,
“Oh how I love your law!
It is my meditation all the day.”

Is it true for us that the narrative in our mind is rooted in God’s Word, or is it more accurate to say our minds are consumed with digital content and just one more thumb-swipe?

If your device has become your relief or doomscrolling has become your default, and would like help and accountability to break free from technology's grip on your heart, please reach out! There is hope in the journey!

Warning Signs of Self-Harm in Teens:

1. New and unexplained wounds, like cuts, bruises, marks, or burns;

2. Protective over their body — i.e. hiding or concealing it, or being more reactive to being touched;

3. Requests unusual items (especially sharp objects and/or wound care supplies), and/or you keep finding those items in strange places;

4. Increasingly less regard for their physical safety, and/or seems to be punishing their body;

5. More isolation, especially in unusual places like bathrooms or closets, and/or frequently keeps doors locked.

Self-harm is very common! If you see these warning signs, please reach out for help.

"Let all that you do be done in love." 1 Corinthians 16:14

Remember this in conflict.
Remember this in difficulty.
Remember this in frustration.
Remember this in irritation.
Remember this in disappointment.
Remember this in failure.
Remember this in exhaustion.

How we do all that we do matters.
Reacting and responding.
Serving and praying.
Shopping and cleaning.
Living and studying.
Working and trying.

Ephesians 4:29 says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Kindness, tenderheartedness, and willingness to forgive is the mark of a believer, because that is what we received from the Lord. Let grace be evident in your life.

Remember this verse in marriage.
Remember this verse in relationships.
Remember this verse with parents.
Remember this verse with siblings.
Remember this verse with children.
Remember this verse at the office.
Remember this verse at the marketplace.
Remember this verse when on social media.
Remember this verse when in political conversation.

When is kindness most difficult to you?
How does withholding forgiveness benefit you?
Where is unity needed?
