Audition season is upon us…are you ready?!

Auditions are the topic of January’s Round table with and 🤩 and we can’t wait to learn how to best present ourselves in the industry!

Here’s a few tips to save for now 👇🏼
• Create an excel with the columns Who, What, When, Where, and How much then head over to Google and find all the auditions you want to attend! Fill in the info as you go and start planning ✈️
• Contact anyone you know who has attending the audition before or booked the job. They may have helpful info 📞📲
• Lastly, make sure you have all your assets ready to go whether that’s fresh headshots or updating your song book 📸

With all of these tools you’ll be golden 🫶🏼 good luck!

We hope this break has given you the rest you need so that you can come into the new year motivated and ready to take on whatever it brings 🫶🏼

Here’s a glimpse into what a few of our members have done the past two weeks! 👇🏼
traveled from Boston to NYC to see the Rockettes in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular ❤️
was gifted a recording session and got to record a song in a professional studio 🎤
finished her performances at Oklahoma Shakespeare 🎭

We love seeing our members interacting with the arts even when they’re away from campus 💕 only one more week till we’re back together

These past few weeks we have had the opportunity to receive our mentor pairings and start connecting with industry professionals who have all the answers to our questions 👏🏼 Whether meeting through Zoom, FaceTime, or corresponding through email these connections are crucial to putting our best foot forward in the industry!

Here’s just one example of our members .garland and meeting with their mentor and current Radio City Rockette to discuss their career goals and big dreams 🌟

Each mentor/mentee pairing is able to setup a schedule for when they meet and decide their goals for each meeting. It is super individualized and very beneficial PLUS a great time to meet fellow artists 💗

We LOVE our We Are Queens mentor network and can’t wait to see what we learn this year!

Now that registration has closed the year can begin! 🤩
Last night we had our first round table with and where we broke down the “starving artist” stigma and shared our frustrations while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. It was amazing to say the least!

Can’t wait for our new members to be a part of more opportunities like this! 💗
