The Empowerment Workshop (The Girls Empowerment Workshop) established in 2006, is a Non Profit Organization. Our Mission is to educate, empower & inspire youth by elevating awareness, building life skills & cultivating confidence. Est. 2006

A Person with a head full of knowledge and a heart full of self respect, is equipped to speak

their mind, stand up tall even if they are scared, demand respect from others, and go into the world with the power to make a difference for themself and for others. We believe this starts with education. We trust that those in our program, no matter what their age, deserve to know about their bodies, their sexuality, and how to not only protect themselves, but choose for themselves, and not only believe that they have the right to say no (Or yes for that matter) but have the strength to do so and the knowledge base to know that it is the right decision for themselves, and even in the face of diversity, stand strong with their decision. The Empowerment Workshop wishes you: Courage to walk your own path and follow your heart. Confidence to walk with your head held high, making eye contact and feeling good about who you are. Joy and laughter in fun, healthy friendships. Memories that make you smile. Success in wherever you put forth your efforts and passions. May you find ways to step out of your comfort zones, and learn that this is where you will grow and find what makes you shine. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.

We were not meant to carry the burden of all of the troubles on earth at one time. Our access to the issues everyone around the world faces feels like an onslaught of personal responsibility. You’re not a terrible person if you cannot care equally all the time for everything and everyone. It’s ok to let it all go sometimes and go have a little fun, at the very least, get those bare feet on some earth and take some deep breaths.

What an incredible way to find a logo for a business your heart is deeply invested in. inked this precious little bird on my shoulder and then gave me the art to use for my small (very small) business … my heart feels good about this, the time spent with Hannah at - chatting away with deep comfort, finding meaning in all the beautiful little things. Thank you Chopper- I will cherish this little HunnyBird and she’ll grace all the products I lovingly make from here on out.
