Mustard Seed Missions

During this year's Applefest, Mustard Seed Missions has been given the parking lot on the other side of 13th St. (between Liberty and Elk) as a fundraiser. Our slot is Saturday, October 3rd from 7 AM to 4 PM.

We will be looking for volunteers to help us man this lot, direct cars in/out, and take donations. We will be asking people to commit to 2 hour slots (7:00-9:00, 9:00-11:00, 11:00-1:00, one jumbo slot of 1:00-4:00) working in teams of 4. If you know anyone who would like to come out and help support Mustard Seed Missions on this day, please have them contact Pastor Powell (616-552-2103 or [email protected]) by September 26th. Today, we received a check from Galloway Church of Franklin for the final funds raised for to support Mustard Seed Missions.

The kids who attended the church’s VBS week in July raised over $2,300. Since then, the church has more than doubled that amount, bringing the total raised to over $5,200!

We are so thankful for our local churches who support our mission of helping families and individuals live in safe and sanitary conditions.

Thank you Galloway Church of Franklin and all the VBS kids for your support by raising money to purchase beds for kids! With your help, we will be able to purchase 10 more beds through our partnership with Bear's Furniture and Bear's Mattress 1st!

We’re looking for a volunteer with a heart to serve our community ❤️

Our organization receives donated appliances, and we need someone who is willing and able to help inspect them and perform minor repairs when needed. Availability is when you're free, perhaps a couple days a month.

We have a heated workspace available with the necessary hookups and some tools provided—just bring your skills and willingness to help others and make this space your own!

Celebrating our “dynamic duo” this evening at the annual Venango County Human Services award dinner. Congratulations to Dave Updegrave and Steve Cole for being awarded Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. We thank Mike Cable for coordinating the household goods part of the ministry and we thank all their wives for their support as well! May God continue to bless this ministry with compassionate volunteers and workers.
