03/10/2026
Our first Ogden 50 informational meeting of 2026 was held on Monday, March 9th at the Leonard A. Good Community Library.
If you were unable to attend and have questions, feel free to reach out. I would be happy to answer any questions or give you a quick call to explain how everything works. I have also attached the documents and information sheets that were provided during the meeting in case you were unable to attend.
Meeting Summary
During the meeting we reviewed what the Ogden 50 is, how it works, and how each quarterly meeting will be structured. Members also discussed and agreed on several items moving forward:
We will look to move future meetings to The Lucky Pig so members can support a local restaurant and gather for dinner before meetings.
Couples from the same household may attend and cast one vote together. Each vote represents a $100 donation. Couples may also choose to donate separately and cast two votes.
If a winning project does not require the full amount raised, the remaining funds may be split among the other presenting projects, if they choose to accept it.
Members may bring guests who are considering joining so they can observe how the meeting works. Guests may not vote unless they choose to contribute and participate in the donation.
Members are encouraged to help identify projects to present each quarter so the group always has meaningful community projects to consider.
We also encourage members to refer others who may be interested in joining. The more members and projects we have, the greater impact we can make in our community.

Mission of Ogden 50
The mission of Ogden 50 is to support local charities, non-profits, and community projects that improve the quality of life in the Ogden community.
The goal is to make four meaningful donations each year that directly impact our community.
100% of contributions stay within the community; national charities will not be considered.
Each project must be a 501(c)(3) or be sponsored by a 501(c)(3), be project-based, and benefit the Ogden community.
Non-profit organizations can be verified at: https://www.guidestar.org/NonprofitDirectory.aspx
Presentations are limited to five minutes, non-electronic, and should explain the project, funding needs, and how it benefits the community.
Only members may present projects and vote.
Members are encouraged to actively recruit new members and help identify projects for presentation.
