Your Amazon cart can wait.

Prime Day might have the deals, but your favorite local businesses have something better: real people, unique finds, and dollars that stay right here in our community.

Before you hit “Buy Now,” take a look around your neighborhood. You might just find something better.

Shop small. Shop local. Look Local First.

Every time someone opens a local business in your town, half the people say “I hope they make it” and the other half say “they’re crazy for trying.”

But here’s what I’ve learned, when people actually show up, these businesses do make it.

The regulars who come in every week. The people who leave Google reviews. The ones who tell their friends. The customers who become ambassadors.

Local businesses don’t fail because people don’t care. They succeed because enough people do.

If you want local businesses in your town, be the person who shows up opening day. Leave the review. Tell your friends. Become a regular.

Supporting local isn’t just shopping local. It’s being an active participant in someone’s dream.

Your town has people willing to take the risk and open businesses.

Make sure they know you’ve got their back.

Let’s show the local love! ❤️

This Valentine’s Day, show it for your local small businesses by shopping, dining, sharing, tagging, or simply spreading the word about your favorite local spots.

Every bit of support counts!

We can get things ordered online and delivered almost immediately, yes. But such features will never take the place of my local store owners knowing me by name, solving our needs and problems, sending me a card when a family member passed, carrying my purchases to the car when I'd hurt my back, being an incredible resource and knowledgeable help to our family.

Friends.....some things are worth more than dollars. We mourn the demise of "the way things used to be", speaking sadly about days when everyone knew their neighbors..... but if we make the choice to stop leaving our homes.... you see my point, I'm sure. Let's think about things differently this year.❤️
