A little idea can turn into something much more than you could ever expect.

My advice to anyone who doubts themselves on whatever journey that they are led on is to just keep going. If it's really your calling, the mountains will be moved to make sure that happens.

If you have to take a break or several breaks, that's quite alright. Just make sure you get back in that damn kayak and keep paddling, no matter how heavy your arms feel at times.

If it moves your heart and creates others to look into theirs, then you're onto something much bigger than yourself, and for when that happens, the universe is going to create opportunities to continue to grow that message.

Stroke Your ECO was a silly late-night idea that I had while speaking to a friend on the phone. I was extremely frustrated dealing with a toxic boss who consistently made me feel small. (Something I learned since then: No one can make you feel small if you don't allow them.)

I told my friend, "I am so exhausted by stroking this guy's ego. It goes against every fabric of my being."

He felt my frustration, as he knew from dealing with his own grief of extremely toxic bosses. I said, "I want to do something that pours back into my soul, even just to be able to have it on my weekends for a bit of a revival."

I said, "Something to do with paddling. Maybe cleaning up the environment 🤔. Like something with paddle stroke." Then it slipped out.

"I'D prefer to be stroking the ECO," I said with laughter. MY friend said, "Lynn, are you serious?" I said, "Yea, I need something that'll lift my spirit after working all of these ungodly hours for this gigantic jackass!" He was like, "That's it!" I said, "What?" He said, "The name is perfect. I think you're onto something."

A year later, and after a few alterations, I just couldn't get this thing off of my mind. Most creative things that I come up with just pass as quickly as I think of them. Stroke Your ECO, though, was ridiculously relentless that it kept needling my brain. Something was saying to me, "Would you do something with this already, for the love of GOD." (Picture Chris Farley screaming that at me 🤣)

Then Covid happened. 3 weeks in (at a different company), we all get laid off for an unseen amount of time. That was the worst time and the best time. I went in hard! I dedicated all of my time into that nagging voice in my head and created SYE. Not to sound too woowoo, but the Universe made sure it went extremely smoothly.

My friend Amber Opal, a creative and brilliant artist/tattoo artist (Looking Glass in Brick, if you're looking for an amazing tattoo), was the 1st person I contacted. I gave her an idea of what I wanted my logo to look like, asked her if she was interested in helping me out. 2 days later (without using AI), she sent me the logo. I dropped everything and called her and said, "DUDE, are you serious? It's absolutely gorgeous!"

From there, everything moved swiftly and beautifully, like the flowing water of a river, shaping around every twist and turn of the elements of nature in its path. Precision!

If you ever had met me, you know something else had a hand in this, because I have ADHD so badly that there is absolutely no way I could have got this done on my own. I'm spiritual, not religious, and I think when you have a calling, come hell or high water, the universal law is that mountains are going to move to make sure it gets done. I truly feel like I had no choice in the matter.

Then the Angels in human form started trickling into my life. Who in the heck volunteers their time to clean up disgusting trash in and out of the waterways? Angels do! I'm not exaggerating this at all. Angels!

They are litter....ally everywhere, sprinkled throughout, and I'm lucky enough to call them friends. What a gift!

Often times I think to myself, "What am I doing?"

Then a text will come through saying, "Because of you, I clean the lake that I live on or near." A sales associate that I work with tells me how he cannot unsee litter now that he knows me, and he and his child pick it up together when they go to the park. An old friend that follows me on social media tells me the same thing, or my best friend's child will send me a video or photo of him cleaning up litter, and countless others want to let me know that they take a trash bag with them on their walks and grab the litter. 🙌👏✨️

And these little messages mean the absolute most.

My favorite Native American proverb:

"We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children."

Keep spreading the word and keep doing what is right, even when no one is looking!

It's time to shift focus and go full throttle back into humanity

Cripes! It's not the sharks that tear up this River! It's the endless amount of .... oh my!
