Every day, Brooke USA works to break the cycle of poverty and animal suffering. In many communities, neglect isn’t cruelty—it’s circumstance. A lack of education, veterinary access, and resources make it hard for even the most devoted caretakers to give their animals what they need.
Now, after building trusted relationships with partners in Native American communities, we’re bringing our expertise to Native American communities. On reservations like Standing Rock, where 34.3% of families live below the poverty line, horses—so deeply woven into Great Plains cultures—often go without essential care simply because no services exist nearby.
That’s why we’re launching the Native American Equine Welfare Initiative to:
• Provide hoof care for 800+ horses and expand each year.
• Train, provide farriery tools, and mentor Native American youth as farriers—creating paths out of poverty.
• Deliver hands-on veterinary clinics to remote communities for lasting change.
This initiative will reach reservations across Montana and the Dakotas, caring for horses and strengthening communities. 🧡
You can help us raise $40,000 to launch and sustain this vital program. Your gift—one-time or monthly—will relieve suffering today and create a brighter future tomorrow.
