WOW! In less than 8 hours, we've already received 75+ Summer of Smiles scholarship applications!
***Edit to add that we are now over 90 less than an hour after this originally posted!***

The requests are coming in quickly this year, and while we're incredibly excited, we're also reminded just how great the need is.

Our goal is simple: to say YES to every child who applies.

These scholarships help provide camps, sports, lessons, outings, and experiences that create confidence, connection, joy, and lifelong memories for children in care.

Last year, we watched children experience new adventures, build friendships, reunite with siblings, and simply enjoy being kids. We would love to make that possible again this summer.

Feel like helping a family in need today?

We’re currently looking for a few specific items for children in care:

🚲 A 26" bike (new or gently used in good condition)
🚗 A car seat (new or gently used in good condition)

We are also completely out of girls’ clothing in sizes 8–12 and would love your help restocking our closet.

👕 Girls’ clothing sizes 8–12 (new only)

Every donation helps us respond quickly when children enter care and ensures they have what they need from day one. Thank you for continuing to love and support local families in such tangible ways.

💙☀️What a night! ☀️💙

As we look through these photos, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude.

Thank you to our incredible families, featured foodies, sponsors, volunteers, auction donors, talented band, the church that graciously hosted us, and every single person who attended, donated, purchased raffle tickets, or simply helped spread the word. Because of YOU, Summer of Smiles Family Fun Night was an incredible success.

We loved seeing children laughing, families connecting, businesses and community members coming together, and so many people rallying around a cause that truly matters.

The best part? Every dollar raised goes directly toward Summer of Smiles 2026.

That means summer scholarships for children in care right here in Marion County, along with family events that help build community, strengthen connections, and create the kind of memories every child deserves.

While we are celebrating all that was accomplished, we’re not quite finished yet. We are currently looking to cover approximately 65 more scholarships at $150 each.

Would you join us in praying that those remaining scholarships are covered soon? We truly believe God can do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine, and we’ve already seen Him show up in incredible ways throughout this program.

So many pictures and details to come, but this morning I wanted to take a moment to recognize this incredible team. 💛

For the past several weeks, they have poured countless hours into planning, organizing, calling, emailing, creating, decorating, and handling all the behind-the-scenes details that made last night’s Summer of Smiles Family Fun Night possible.

Events like this don’t just happen. They take a team of people willing to work hard, serve well, and give of themselves so others can simply show up and enjoy the evening.

One of our favorite things is seeing families, businesses, volunteers, donors, and community members all under one roof, celebrating together and investing in children in care. It was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for a greater purpose.

To this team, thank you. Your hearts, dedication, and willingness to serve do not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for each of you and all you do for the children and families we serve.
