Will you pause for just a moment and pray with me?

It has been a BUSY few weeks in the world of foster care, and behind every phone call, every placement, every urgent need, and every late-night decision are real people carrying a lot.

Today, I’m asking you to pause whatever you’re doing and lift up:

🤍 The children in care — the ones stepping into unfamiliar homes, carrying stories we may never fully know, and trying to make sense of a world that has changed overnight.

🤍 The caregivers saying YES — the ones opening their homes, rearranging their lives, making room at the table, and taking in additional children, often with little notice and even less time to prepare.

🤍 The biological and adopted children in those homes — the siblings learning a new normal, sharing their space, their parents, and their routines, and navigating big changes of their own.

🤍 The case managers, licensing staff, and everyone working behind the scenes — the ones answering calls at all hours of the day (and night!), working tirelessly to find safe places for children to land, even when the options feel impossibly limited.

🤍 The children still waiting — waiting for a safe place, a family willing to say yes, and someone to remind them that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

And pray for our community. Pray for open hearts, open homes, renewed strength, and the resources needed to care for these children well.

We are praying for a WAVE of new homes on the horizon. Homes that are willing. Homes that are equipped. Homes that will say yes not because it’s easy, but because a child needs somewhere safe to land.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can help, start here. Pray. Pray for the children, pray for the families, pray for the workers, and pray for the people who haven’t yet realized that fostering might be part of their story.

We believe God is already at work, and we are asking Him to stir hearts across our community in a BIG way.

What a powerful few days.

We are beyond grateful to Meadowbrook Church for making it possible for our team to attend this year’s Christian Alliance for Orphans Conference. Their generosity was so much more than paying for a conference; it was an intentional investment in our team, in the work God has called us to, and in the children and families we serve. To have a church see the value in pouring into the people who are pouring into others is such a gift, and we truly don’t take it for granted. Just like First Baptist of Atlanta, as they hosted us all and made us feel at home.

Three days of worshiping, learning, and growing alongside 2,500 of “our people”; people who share a heart for children and families all over the world. So grateful to be in a room so full of the Holy Spirit, surrounded by people who understand this calling.

We heard countless testimonies of God’s faithfulness, shared tears, learned in breakout sessions, and left with full hearts, fresh clarity, and renewed inspiration.

I’m also incredibly thankful for a team willing to sacrifice time away from their own families to come, learn, grow, and continually become better equipped to serve the families we love.

Less. Fewer branches. Better fruit.

The theme of this year’s conference felt incredibly timely. We’ve been in a season of pruning; letting go, simplifying, and making room for what God is calling us to next.

We’re heading home full and ready to put it all into practice.

So grateful for a church that intentionally invests in this work, a team that continually says yes, and a God who is so faithful to lead us exactly where He wants us.

We are almost to the end of Give4Marion 2026.

We know it has been a FULL two days of fun, fundraising, sharing, cheering each other on, and watching our community show up in some pretty incredible ways.

But as it comes to an end, we truly want you to know just how much we appreciate you.

The donors.
The volunteers.
The caregivers.
The families.
The businesses.
The churches.
The people who shared a post.
The people who prayed.
The people who simply said, “How can I help?”

We couldn't do this without each and every one of you.

And if nothing else, we hope you know this:

You are a part of something so much bigger than a two-day fundraiser.

You are changing lives, even when sometimes it's hard to see exactly how.

You are helping a caregiver say yes.
You are helping a child walk into a new home with something of their own.
You are helping meet a need that came without warning.
You are helping create moments of normalcy, joy, belonging, and hope.

You are a part of establishing a strong foundation for children in care and that foundation will become part of their forever story.

We may not always get to see where every dollar, every prayer, every volunteer hour, or every act of kindness ends up.

But we trust that it matters.

And so do you.

From all of us at The Fostering Foundation, thank you for showing up, believing in this mission, and loving children and families so well.
