Well, as many of you know, we’ve been working on a little John boat project for Gauge. After A LOT of back and forth, bribery, begging, and convincing him to finally finish his boater safety course… HE DID IT! 😂

So today we thought, “Why not throw the bright orange fish slayer in the water and let him rip some lips?” 🎣🛥️

Momma was a little nervous watching her baby head out on the water… but Dad said, “Bye, Felicia!” 😂😂

And just like that, the newest captain has officially been unleashed! 🧡🎣

Now let’s see if this boat catches more fish than it burns gas! 😂

Unfortunately, my fishing partner has a Jr. High baseball commitment this weekend, so we'll have to sit this tournament out. ⚾🎣

If you're in the area, be sure to come out and check it out! It's always a well-run tournament with a great group of anglers. Wishing everyone the best of luck—we'll be cheering you on and look forward to getting back on the water at the next one!

The 5th event of the year is this Saturday! Due to park rules, we will only be fishing until noon Illinois time. The water temps are still hot so let's be prepared to take care of our fish as always.

Good 'ole LTE... After living here for a few years, the fish population seems to constantly surprise us. Dusty pulled her out with only minutes left of the Monday night tournament. She came in at 4 # 4 oz which was enough for 1st place.

As a father-and-son team, days like today at Clinton Lake mean a little more. We had a great day on the water, even with the rain! Memorial tournaments are always special—they remind us that fishing is about more than competition. Making memories together and supporting the incredible fishing community we're proud to be a part of.

Gauge did great with our two overs after I lost a beauty mid-tournament. Amazing job to the guys that put it on.

The final tournament of the USA Bassin series didn't go well for Kinney Fishing. Gauge caught the full bag but came in just over 5 #, tough break! But again, any day on the lake is a good one, right?!

Mother nature chose chaos at the Mill Creek Fish Off Series this weekend. Got off to a good start with early bites before the skies opened up. We thought it was clear, took off the rain gear to dry out... she had other plans. After another couple hours of soggy fishing, we brought 5 fish to weigh in. It wasn't enough to cash a check but we were excited to cheer on Levi Lewis and Chris Hoult taking home the win!

Well, we had another fantastic tournament last weekend at Mill Creek even though we didn't place. The fish had us figured out, but still great memories!

The real highlight? Wore out my partner who took a 5pm nap after weigh in 🤣
