Waldo 100k The Waldo 100K Ultramarathon is a challenging 62.5 mile course starting at Willamette Pass Ski Area RD: Craig Thornley

The Waldo 100K Ultramarathon is a challenging 100K loop-type course starting at Willamette Pass Ski Area (70 miles east of Eugene, Oregon) at elevation 5120', climbing up several mountains including Fuji, The Twins, and Maiden Peak before returning to the ski area. The route is mostly single-track trails with some fairly remote sections and has many incredible views of pristine Waldo Lake. It is not a beginner-level ultra and participation in the race should not be taken lightly.

It was a year of records at the 2025 Waldo 100K. We had a record number of starters at 146, a record low DNS rate of 9%, a record high finish rate of 93% which yielded a record 136 finishers!

The weather was cool and clear for most of the race except for a few hours in the afternoon where there was thunderstorm activity, but the storms mostly bypassed the runners.

Mario Mendoza Jr won in 9:59:31, followed by Robert Ressl in 10:07:11, and Eduardo Morales 10:10:56.

The top three women were Missy Lotz 12:31:20, Nu Ma 12:38:30, and Heidi Rounds 12:57:56.

Find Waldo winners (first to summit Fuji) were Zachary Halloway and Laura Westmeyer.

Wet Waldo was a tie between Yu Kuwabera and Mosi King who both swam in all six lakes and finished in 13:14.

Show Us Your Waldo winner was Erica Mertens, a.k.a. the sticker lady.

Thanks to all the volunteers, runners, crews, and pacers who combined to make for a fantastic weekend.

The next Waldo will be held on August 1, 2026. Lottery registration will be open from January 1-21, 2026 with the drawing held on January 22.
