On Friday, June 12th, we'll be playing The Bad Guys 2! 🐺🍿

Grab your blankets and picnic baskets to join us at Civic Center Park for a fun-filled evening for the family.

Before the movie starts, play themed trivia and challenges, giant Jenga, corn hole, and more. You may even win a special prize! The free games and fun will begin at 7:30pm at Civic Center Plaza, the movie will begin at dark. Popcorn and soda will be available with donations collected by the Oakley Youth Advisory Council.

What better way is there to start off summer than by learning how to drive! This Online Drivers Ed course is designed to give you the knowledge and foundation you need to be a safe, responsible driver.

Complete this class online, at your own pace. Interactive lessons help you understand road rules. Upon successful completion, receive a DMV-approved certificate, which is required for the DMV written and road test. Get ready to take the DMV written test with with access to written test practice questions.

For ages 15 and up. Registration is available online at www.oakleyca.gov/RecRegistration or in person at the Oakley Recreation Center.

For the month of June, our Friday Night Bites in partnership with Foodie Crew includes a concert featuring country band North Forty 🎶

The food trucks and the live music will be on site from 5 – 9pm at Civic Center Plaza, 3231 Main Street in Oakley.

Guests may bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy their meal and concert in the park. No outside alcohol is permitted.

Yesterday Studio 55 had a Birthday Bash! 🎈 It's hard to believe Studio 55 opened only a year ago; we've met so many incredible community members and we are thankful for their participation in our programs, classes, and events. Yesterday members celebrated with games of trivia centered around Oakley and music through the decades, bingo, and enjoyed hotdogs and cupcakes among friends. Cheers to the first year! 🎂 🎉

Studio 55 is located at the Oakley Recreation Center, 1250 O’Hara Avenue. Aging adults 55+ who join Studio 55 enjoy social space as well as daily activities including pickleball, exercise, self-defense, dancing, cooking classes and more.

☀ Mark your calendars for Oakley Summer Fest!

Join us on Saturday, June 27th from 10am to 3pm for our annual Oakley Summer Fest. The festival will take place within Civic Center Plaza and on Main Street from Norcross to Vintage Parkway. This event has something for everyone: 40+ craft vendors and non-profits organizations, a kids zone equipped with exhilarating rides, 10+ food vendors offering delicious cuisine, live music on our main stage by the Evan Thomas Band, and a beer garden hosted by the Rotary Club of Oakley🌳

The Roblox for Game Designers & Coders class is a dynamic course designed for aspiring game designers & coders. Leverage the excitement of Roblox, transform gameplay into a hands-on coding experience. Students master essential programming concepts such as loops, rendering, and inventory systems by integrating them directly into the Roblox environment. By the end, students aren't just playing Roblox - they are using code to shape and enhance it.

For ages 7-16, this class takes place Monday-Thursday beginning June 15 through June 18 from 5:15pm-6:45pm. Registration is available online at www.oakleyca.gov/RecRegistration or in person at the Oakley Recreation Center.

Thinking about reserving a park for your next family gathering? Wondering where to host that upcoming birthday party?

Here's a quick guide to our four reservable parks in Oakley (all have restrooms onsite)!

Biddy Soccer is a wonderful introduction to team sports where children can participate at their own level in a non-competitive environment. Your fee includes a t-shirt, and an one-hour class including a fun warm-up, practice with your team, and playing a game. The time may vary from week-to-week, but your child always plays on Saturday, for one hour starting between 8:30am and 12:00pm.

The deadline to register is Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Parents support their child’s efforts and get involved by volunteering to coach their child’s team--please volunteer when you register. No coaching experience needed.

For ages 3-6, this class takes place Saturdays beginning July 11 through August 8. Registration is available online at www.oakleyca.gov/RecRegistration or in person at the Oakley Recreation Center.
