Good Food and Good FUN in Historic Oakland~

All you can eat Buffet & games to play.

Doors Open @ 5pm.

Turkey Hall’s Western Sociable happens only
one time a month…our doors open at 5PM, THIS FRIDAY, the 29th to gather have a drink or two and enjoy fresh/hot beignets.
BUFFET opens at 6:30PM and after dinner STAY & PLAY a variety of card and dice games… then at 9:30PM it’s over until the last Friday of June.

MILDRED'S GRAVE SITE FENCE RECONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE!

The rebuilding of the picket fence around Mildred's grave is complete!

The old fence turned out to be in far worse shape than it appeared. most of the pickets were rotted and crumbled to the touch. It was literally held together by a thin layer of paint. The new fence is constructed of high quality wood and covered with a bright white good quality paint. This new fence, with occasional maintenance, should last for many years to come. -- *Note the beautiful picket fence arch that now highlights Mildred's headstone--- thanks to a very talented volunteer/board member.

A HUGE THANK-YOU to all that generously donated funds, materials and labor to this project. What a wonderful tribute to Mildred's memory.

All are welcome to attend.

We do fun events & small improvement projects in our historic downtown district. & we'd love you to join us!
Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Triple Oak Wine Vault/Oakland Coffee Co at 9 am. Coffee & Tea and small bites are available for purchase.

We hope you are starting to notice Oakland looking a little nicer these days!
Oakland Economic Development was able to provide a few small grants to local businesses so they could 'spiffy up' their business surroundings.
One such business is RLOCreative on 2nd Street, across from the Post Office.
Rachelle O'Brien, woman-owned proprietor of RLOCreative, has added two lovely planters to the front of her building, as well as a fun message sign board...
Be sure to be on the lookout for some fun messages from Rachelle.
And if you need some design help, please give Rachelle a call.
She has flyers on the front of her building.
Thanks to Oakland Economic Development & to the other businesses in town for making Oakland look more lovely.
Check out the pretty hanging flower baskets~ some were provided to local businesses by the City of Oakland & others have been added by local merchants in an effort to bring color & beauty to Oakland.
The birds are loving the new plants, too~ Singing sweetly around town.
Oakland Coffee Co & Triple Oak Wine Vault have added outdoor seating as has The 1905 Oakland Ice House Vintage Theater & Event Venue....
Come Visit Historic Oakland, OR....
Take a break from the hustle & bustle of life...sit & stay awhile.
Sip on your wine or coffee & enjoy the beautiful flowers and the sweet, singing birds.
