Please see our events calendar for opportunities to become engaged! http://www.tinyurl.com/OCACcalendar The Oakland Climate Action Coalition (OCAC) is a cross-sector coalition leading the effort to further climate justice in Oakland and build a thriving green economy in the face of climate change. Since 2009, the OCAC has provided research, policy expertise and most, importantly advocacy and organ

izing efforts for the needs of our communities throughout Oakland. The Coalition has brought dozens of unlikely organizations and thousands of Oakland residents together, into the city’s Energy and Climate Action Plan (ECAP) planning process. By championing creative, transformational solutions to the economic and climate challenges of the city, OCAC is improving the health and wealth of Oakland’s communities. The Coalition relies on a dynamic interdependence between policy advocacy, base building, and community engagement, with low-income residents and communities of color as the main authors and architects of climate solutions.
