During our time in Tucson, AZ we volunteered at The Outlaw Project. Big thank you to Executive Director, Monica Jones for hosting us and cooking up an incredible community breakfast!

The Outlaw Project is based on the principles of intersectionality and prioritizes the leadership of Transgender Women, BIPOC, non-binary, migrant and s*x worker folks. Outlaw works on the following priority areas: emergency housing, economic justice for self sufficiency; harm reduction and health promotion; community-led solutions to violence, mitigating the impact of oppression because of criminalization, decriminalization of s*x work and the removal of other repressive laws and policies.

Follow Outlaw Project’s Instagram to keep an eye out for their volunteer work days!

Shout out to the November 23’ cohort from the Liberatory Masculinity Retreat! 16 facilitators, community builders, and cultural workers engaged in our longstanding practice of creating praxis spaces and sanctuaries that explore non-oppressive masculinities rooted in love and liberation.

“I've never felt so seen and cared for like I was on this retreat. I gave myself permission to be cared for, fed and take up space to be Me”

Our approach engages Healing Justice as a necessary anti-violence strategy for self care and community well being. This includes embodied practice, emotional labor, political development, ancestral connection, deep reflection and self work. We are in admiration of the sacred expressions of masculinity we witnessed!

Show them some love y'all

We at Brown Boi Project are proud to announce that we are launching The Pilot! A leadership program for transgender and gender variant youth of color in South Florida ages 14 - 18.

The Pilot is a 6 month program from October 7, 2023 - March 2, 2024. Participants will meet on the first Saturday of each month. Youth will be paid for their participation. Application deadline is September 15, 2023 11:59 PM EST. Apply today at tinyurl.com/BBPYOUTHPILOT

We’ll be closed from December 16 - January 2, 2023 to engage in study as a team. We’re reading Liberated to the Bone by bodyworker and cultural worker Susan Raffo. This book addresses the intersections between healing our physical bodies and healing from the ways our social relations are often shaped by violence. We expect this text and others to continue informing the on-going study and development of our new Liberatory Masculinities framework. We are so excited to share more about this in the new year! See you then!
