Donations accepted Thurs & Sat 12-3pm. The East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse is a low cost arts and craft Reuse store dedicated to serving bay area teachers, students, and artists for their educational and personal projects. The Depot diverts over 100 tons per year of discarded and reusable household items from the landfill. Store hours: Wednesday-Sunday 12pm-6pm

Fabric Stamping Workshop
Wednesday, August 19, 6:30-8:30pm

We're thrilled to welcome new-to-us teacher Gir Session for a new-to-us class in textile design and fabric stamping!

Discover the creative possibilities of textile surface design in this beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop. Participants will learn the fundamentals of fabric stamping while exploring how artists and makers use surface treatments to transform plain textiles into unique works of art.

Students will create a custom printed cotton bandana while gaining an introduction to a variety of fabric manipulation techniques that can be incorporated into future sewing, fashion, and textile projects.

Another pick up from the former tailor shop has yielded more bolts of fine wool fabric (only $5/yard!), a few bolts of satiny suit-lining fabric, rolls of felt, and several real fur collars.

In addition, we've received an industrial Serger and a Baby Lock sewing machine! The machines will be tested, priced, and available for sale next week.
