When Stanford University student and AHS Patient Board Member Michelle To traveled to Washington, DC visiting the offices of Congresswoman Lateefah Simon, Senator Adam Schiff, and Senator Alex Padilla, she spoke not only as a leader but gave moving testimony as a patient who knows firsthand the power of responsive care rooted in trust and community.

For multiple generations, Michelle’s family has turned to AHS through significant life milestones and critical moments, including when her grandmother faced serious medical complications. “AHS helped our family understand what was happening with compassion, patience, and clarity at a time when we needed it most,” Michelle reflected. On May 11, Dr. George Lee, Chief Innovations Officer, presented at the 2026 OCHIN Learning Forum, sharing how Asian Health Services is using Abridge, an AI ambient scribe tool, to support providers with Electronic Health Record documentation and reduce burnout.

As one of the first clinics piloting this solution with OCHIN and Epic integration, AHS continues exploring innovative ways to strengthen patient care — helping providers spend less time on documentation and more time focused on meaningful patient interaction.
