Our very first Silent Auction fundraiser - the Cowgirl Luncheon during Rodeo Week at Reata on 3rd - was such a special day, filled with generosity, laughter, and true community spirit. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, supported, and especially to the amazing businesses and individuals who donated auction items and experiences. Your generosity is what made this event possible, and it will directly help us bring even more magic to our town this Christmas - more lights, more displays, more banners, and more moments for our community to gather and celebrate.

Thank you also to for hosting and supporting this vision so wholeheartedly. It means so much to see our community come together in such a meaningful way.

This is just the beginning - and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.

As we close out the season, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who helped make December such a magical month for our community 🎄✨ From the beautiful décor dreamed up and lovingly created, to the many hands who installed, styled, lit, and brought it all to life, every detail reflected the heart of this town.

Thank you to the businesses and sponsors throughout town who went above and beyond to spread joy 🎁🎄 Filling storefronts, streets, and gathering spaces with cheer that sparked smiles from neighbors and passersby alike 😊✨ Your generosity truly transformed Oakdale into a winter wonderland ❄️

We are so thankful to everyone who participated in and supported our December 6 events 🎅🎶 and to all who offered festive experiences, activities, and moments of connection for both residents and visitors throughout the season.

Today is the very last day to skate at the rink! ⛸️✨

The ice melts after tonight, and time is officially running out. Over the past few weeks, this rink has been filled with laughter, first-time skaters, wobbly starts turned into confident glides, hand-holding laps with loved ones, and memories made with friends and family that will last long after the ice is gone.

If skating has been on your list this season, today is your final chance to lace up, step onto the ice, and soak in one more moment of winter magic before the rink closes for the year.

🗓 FINAL Skate Day
Today, January 3
First season starts at 10:00 AM
Last session ends at 9:30 PM

The following one-hour sessions are available: 10 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 4:00 PM, 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM, & 8:30 PM 🎵🎄

Sessions often sell out, so come early! Tickets are sold onsite - first come, first served (no cash, please).

🎟 $20 adults | $15 kids (12 & under)
Skate rental included | “Buddies” available to rent for $10

This season was made possible by the heart of this community, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you. ❤️

A Small Town Christmas came to life through countless acts of generosity, from volunteers and sponsors to families who showed up, supported local efforts, and helped create lasting memories throughout the season.

As we bring it all to a close, we are asking for a little help with our final clean-up efforts. These last projects help us care for our shared spaces and wrap up the season the right way. Every set of hands truly helps.

As we step into 2026, the ice rink is down to its final two days. If skating has been on your holiday bucket list, this is your last chance to make it happen. ❄️

Don’t let the season slip by - lace up and skate before the ice is gone!

🗓 Final TWO Skate Days:
January 2 & 3 | 10 AM – 10 PM

One-hour sessions run throughout the day (scheduled in 1.5-hour increments to allow for Zamboni cleaning), and several sessions are expected to sell out. Tickets are sold onsite, first come, first served (no cash, please). Last session ends at 9:30.

As the lights begin to dim on A Small Town Christmas, our hearts are full. Thank you for celebrating the season with us, helping to fill our streets with joy, laughter, tradition, and small-town magic. 🎄❄️⛸️ Here’s to new memories, fresh beginnings, and another year of community, connection, and hometown cheer!

We’re heading into the last days of the season at the Julia Haidlen Memorial Ice Skating Rink, and what a ride it has been. As we wrap up this unforgettable season, we’re calling on our community one more time to help us cross the finish line and be part of the closing moments on the ice. ❤️

✨ A few volunteer spots are still open:
