🇺🇸 MEET CARLOS "BUCK" APONTE!

Carlos isn't just the owner of Buck's Ice Cream. He's also a United States military veteran and a resident of our very own Oakboro community!

As an organization dedicated to honoring, supporting, and bringing together our veterans, we're especially proud to welcome a fellow veteran and hometown business owner to this year's event!

🍦 A LITTLE ABOUT BUCK'S ICE CREAM!

Buck's Ice Cream has been bringing smiles, sweet treats, and good old-fashioned nostalgia to families and communities since 2008!

Remember being a kid and hearing that familiar ice cream truck music coming down the street? That excitement never really goes away, does it?

Whether it's corporate events, employee appreciation celebrations, schools, daycares, summer camps, birthday parties, weddings, or community gatherings, Buck's Ice Cream knows how to bring a little sweetness to the occasion!

From traditional Blue Bunny ice cream favorites and refreshing snow cones to classic soda floats and seasonal treats, Buck's offers something for just about everyone!

🇺🇸 VETERANS SUPPORTING VETERANS — RIGHT HERE AT HOME!

One of the things that makes our annual Car, Bike & Truck Show so special is the opportunity to bring together veterans, families, local businesses, and our community for a common purpose.

When one of our own hometown veterans steps forward to participate, it makes that connection even stronger.

Carlos is a great example of how our veterans continue making a positive difference in their communities long after their military service has ended.

And we couldn't be happier to have him joining us!

🔨🇺🇸 HOW DOES THE SILENT AUCTION WORK?

Never bid in a silent auction before? It's easy!

Each auction item will have its own clipboard and bid sheet. Find something you want, write down your name, phone number and bid, and keep an eye on it throughout the morning.

🕗 Bidding opens at 8:00 AM
⏰ At approximately 10:55 AM, we'll announce 5 MINUTES REMAINING!
🚨 BIDDING CLOSES AT 11:00 AM SHARP.

And folks, 11:00 means 11:00. 😂

At 11:00, we're picking up the clipboards. The highest valid bid written on the sheet when that clipboard is collected wins.

No “I told your volunteer I'd go higher.”
No “I was about to raise my bid.”
No “Wait! I was coming back!” 😂

If you really want it, don't wait — go put another bid on it!

🏆 Winners must be present, and payment is due following the trophy presentation at 11:30 AM. Cash is preferred but an electronic payment platform will be available.

🚚 PLEASE PLAN AHEAD: Winning bidders are responsible for pickup and transportation of their auction items. Due to the size and weight of some items, please come prepared with an appropriate vehicle and to safely load and transport your purchase.

🥃🌹 SILENT AUCTION FEATURE ITEM — BOURBON COUNTRY STYLE! 🌹🥃

🔥 FOUR ROSES BOURBON — RUSTIC HALF-BARREL DISPLAY & SHELVING UNIT 🔥

NOW THIS IS HOW YOU DISPLAY A BOURBON COLLECTION.

The Stanly County Veterans Group has another fantastic piece headed to our 2026 Veterans Day Weekend Silent Auction, and this one brings a little bit of Kentucky bourbon-country style with it.

Take a look at this beautiful Four Roses Bourbon half-barrel-style wooden display.
And folks...

THIS THING IS CLASSY. 🥃🔥

From the curved wooden barrel-style front to the six black metal bands, prominent Four Roses Bourbon branding and the shelving built into the reverse side, this is one of those pieces that could work in almost ANY room.

Man cave? Absolutely. Home bar? Perfect. Bourbon room? You already know.

But this one could just as easily sit in a den, game room, restaurant, business, tasting room or even a living room without looking like somebody dragged a liquor-store display into the house.

It looks like a piece of rustic furniture.
📏 Approximately 3 feet tall
📏 Approximately 2 feet wide at its widest point
📏 Approximately 11½ inches deep
💪 Approximately 30 pounds
🪵 Substantial wood construction
⚫ Six black metal barrel-style bands
🥃 Prominent Four Roses Bourbon branding
🌹 Four Roses rose emblem and branding on the top
🗄️ Three usable display levels
🔄 TWO completely different looks depending on how you position it
And THAT'S one of our favorite things about this piece.

🥃 TURN IT AROUND.

From one direction, you've got the beautiful curved Four Roses Bourbon half-barrel appearance — natural wood, black bands and that unmistakable Four Roses logo right across the front.

Turn it around...

AND IT BECOMES A DISPLAY SHELF.

The reverse side gives you three usable display levels with additional Four Roses Bourbon branding across the shelf fronts.
Load it up with your favorite bourbon bottles.
Display your glasses and barware.
Use it for sports memorabilia.
Die-cast cars.
Military collectibles.
Motorcycle memorabilia.
Wh***ey decanters.
Family keepsakes.

Whatever YOU collect. And if you're a bourbon collector? Come on...

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT BELONGS ON THOSE SHELVES. 😂🥃

Four Roses has been part of American bourbon history for well over a century, tracing its story to 1888, with the brand deeply rooted in Kentucky and its distillery located today in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Four Roses Bourbon

That history makes the branding on this piece especially cool for somebody who appreciates bourbon memorabilia.

But here's what really separates this display from some of the other pieces we've shown you:

IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A “MAN CAVE” PIECE.

Face the barrel side toward the room and you've got a beautiful rustic Four Roses centerpiece. Face the shelves toward the room and you've got functional display space. Put it against the end of a bar. Use it beside a bourbon cabinet. Put it behind a recliner. Build a tasting corner around it. Or load those shelves with your favorite bottles and make it the centerpiece of your bourbon collection.

FRONT OR BACK — THIS PIECE WORKS. 🥃🌹

And as cool as the display itself is, there's an even better reason to bid:

🇺🇸 Your winning bid supports the Stanly County Veterans Group and our efforts to serve and honor Veterans right here in our community.

This Four Roses Bourbon display will be available for bidding during the:

We've got some BIG pieces coming to this auction. We've got some WILD pieces.
We've got some pieces that are going to make you laugh.

And then we've got pieces like this one...

🥃 THE KIND YOU TAKE HOME, FILL WITH YOUR FAVORITE BOURBON AND KEEP FOR YEARS.

One display.
Two completely different looks.
Three display levels.

And one winning bidder gets to take it home.

🌹🥃 WHO'S MAKING ROOM AT THE BAR FOR FOUR ROSES? 🥃🌹

Help us spread the word! Please LIKE & SHARE this post and TAG your friends — especially the bourbon collectors, Four Roses fans, home-bar owners, man-cave builders and anybody you know who would look at those empty shelves and immediately start deciding which bottles go where. 😂🥃

🔥🔥 SILENT AUCTION FEATURE ITEM — JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! 🔥🔥

🎄🔥 THE ULTIMATE MAN-CAVE FIREPLACE DISPLAY 🔥🎄

NO FIREPLACE? NO PROBLEM. 😎
Christmas is coming — and if your apartment, man cave, home bar, garage or shop doesn't have a fireplace to hang those stockings from...

IT DOES NOW. 😂🔥🎄

The Stanly County Veterans Group is excited to offer another incredibly unique piece in our 2026 Veterans Day Weekend Silent Auction — and this one may be the most unexpected item we've shown you yet.

This is a large, heavy wooden simulated fireplace display, complete with a realistic-looking roaring-fire backdrop, a substantial mantel across the top and — yes — hooks underneath the mantel for hanging stockings!

And once again, folks...

💪 THIS IS NOT CARDBOARD.

This is a heavy, substantial WOODEN piece. You're not tucking this thing under one arm and strolling back to the truck with it. 😂
📏 Approximately 44½ inches wide
📏 Just over 41 inches tall
📏 Approximately 14 inches deep
🔥 Fireplace opening approximately 26" × 26"
🪵 Heavy wood construction — NOT cardboard
🔥 Realistic roaring-fire backdrop
🎄 Built-in hooks beneath the mantel — PERFECT for Christmas stockings
🪵 Large usable mantel/display surface across the top
🥃 Additional display space across the front hearth
⭐ Detailed wood finish and substantial trim

And then there's the branding across the front... Smirnoff • Captain Morgan • Crown Royal • Baileys • Tanqueray

We did a little digging because that combination caught our attention — and there's a connection.

All five are brands in the portfolio of Diageo, one of the world's major beverage companies. Smirnoff brings the vodka, Captain Morgan the rum, Crown Royal the Canadian wh**ky, Baileys the Irish cream, and Tanqueray the gin. www.diageo.com
So this isn't tied to just one wh***ey or bourbon brand like some of the displays we've already shown you.

It's got the whole bar represented! 😂🍸🥃

But here's where this one gets REALLY interesting.

You don't even have to use it as a liquor display.

Picture this thing in your man cave at Christmas.
🎄 Stockings hanging from the mantel.
🎁 Christmas decorations across the top.
🔥 That roaring fire behind them.

🇺🇸 Maybe some military memorabilia or challenge coins displayed across the mantel.

Or forget Christmas altogether.
🏁 NASCAR collectibles.
🏍️ Motorcycle memorabilia.
🦌 Hunting collectibles.
🏈 Sports memorabilia.
🥃 Barware and bottles.
🇺🇸 Military keepsakes and challenge coins.
📸 Family photographs.
MAKE IT YOURS.
And if you're living somewhere without a fireplace?
Well...

🎅 SANTA JUST RAN OUT OF EXCUSES. 😂🔥

No chimney required. And the best part is that when somebody asks where you found this crazy thing, you get to tell them:

🇺🇸 Your winning bid helped support the Stanly County Veterans Group and our efforts to serve and honor local Veterans.

This fireplace display will be available for bidding during the:
