We accidentally took in another puppy! 🤦♀️
Meet Jimothy!
He was a terrified matted urine-soaked mess growling in the back of his shelter cage when we agreed to take him… much to our surprise once we got him out we found just a scared sweet playful baby, just barely 6 months old! His legs and underside were severely matted close to the skin and his shave down had to be finished under anesthesia due to his discomfort, but he was a good boy and wagging his tails and giving kisses to the vet. We think he might be a “Teddy Bear” or some other designer Shih Tzu/maltese type non-shedding mix. He’s a little timid until he gets his bearings but warms up fast especially around other dogs and loves to follow and play with them. He’s 11lbs and probably doesn’t have too much more growing to do, neutered and updated on shots and ready for a forever home that will continue to socialize him in a positive way to new people, places and things. And a role model doggie buddy to help show him the ropes. Still working on housebreaking, and has a lot of puppy energy once he feels comfortable- the fact that he looks like a living breathing stuffed toy doesn’t mean he doesn’t need training and exercise and to be treated like a real dog.
