TEDxOakParkWomen is an annual lecture series that brings together forward-thinking and innovative women from the community to discuss important topics and new ideas worth spreading in the Oak Park area. TEDxOakParkSalon

events are designed for a smaller audience and features an evening of TED Talks, activities, and discussions revolving around a single, relevant theme. A condensed version of a TEDx event, they are distinct in their brevity, opportunities for conversation, and heightened audience interaction.

Aaron reminds us that just like training our strengths, we need to nurture our weaknesses to become well-rounded and the vest version of ourselves. Something really special happened for the first time ever yesterday. People from diverse backgrounds of all ages came together for . What we witnessed wasn’t just a series of talks and performances — it was a glimpse of what’s possible when young voices are trusted with the mic.

We heard ideas that challenged assumptions, sparked curiosity, and invited reflection. Each idea showed us that change doesn’t require permission. It starts with noticing. Questioning. Choosing. And believing that your voice matters.
