My name is Jordan Ashworth, and I’m the South Whidbey Admin of The Birthday Pantry, a local community program dedicated to helping families make birthdays possible for their children. Our mission is simple — to spread joy by providing birthday essentials like cake mixes, decorations, and small gifts to families who might otherwise go without.
We’re currently seeking community partners to help us collect donations, and we’d love to ask if Wild Ophelia's (Oak Harbor), Lind’s Jewelry (Freeland), Ace Freeland Home Center (Freeland), Payless Grocery (Freeland), The Goose Community Grocer (Langley) would be open to hosting a The Birthday Pantry bin for donations. The bin would be clearly labeled and maintained by our team, and we’d be happy to provide any signage or information you’d like displayed to explain the cause.
We believe that with your store’s strong community presence, this partnership could make a meaningful difference for local families. Even the smallest donations — cake mix, frosting, candles, or toys — help make birthdays special for children who deserve to feel celebrated.a
A BIG THANK YOU TO Whidbey Audio Video & Taproom at Bayview Corner for hosting bins we will get them labeled and bring to you soon!
Our current admin team includes:
• Lexie Ogden – Central Whidbey Admin & Founder
• Jordan Ashworth & Mary Brown – South End Admin
• Etepa Maines – North End Admin
Thank you so much for considering this request. We’d love the chance to work together to bring a little more happiness to families in our community.
Warm regards,
Jordan Ashworth
