Scouting at Home 30-Day Challenge #1

1) Select two individuals from American history, one a political leader (a president, senator, etc.) and the other a private citizen (a writer, religious leader, etc.). Find out about each person's accomplishments and compare the contributions each has made to America's heritage

2) Interview two veterans of the U.S. military by phone, Skype, or Zoom. Find out what their experiences were like. Ask the veterans what they believe they accomplished.

We will be adopting a Scouting at Home rank advancement initiative for the remainder of our distanced Scouting experience. Attached are 30-day challenges for the ranks for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class.

Everyone below the rank of First Class is encouraged to work on their next rank through these schedules. In particular, Second Class Scouts should do their best to make good progress on First Class before Summer Camp!

Help is always available from Patrol Leaders, the SPL or ASPL, or any of the Scoutmaster Corp, but any virtual Scout meetings must meet YPT guidelines.

Scouts and their families are free to work on requirements at home. All at home work must be authorized and signed off on by the Scoutmaster. You can document your work with the attached worksheets, pictures, or videos...be creative!

We will be working to provide additional resources to help in the coming days.
