Meet Khloe McGue! 🐴👑

Khloe McGue is 15 years old, a student at Townsend Community School, and is proud to represent the Rough Riders 4-H Club as she competes for the title of 2026 Huron County Horse Queen.

This year, Khloe is showing her 3-year-old horse, LT. Dan, as well as her contesting horse, Rose. Beyond competing, Khloe has dedicated the past two years to building a strong partnership with LT. Dan through consistent training, patience, and hard work. Watching the progress they have made together is truly inspiring and reflects the commitment she has to her horses.

When she's not in the arena, Khloe spends countless hours caring for her horses and learning from fellow horsemen and mentors to continually improve her horsemanship skills. Her determination to grow, both as a rider and a horsewoman, shines through in everything she does.

After graduating from high school, Khloe plans to pursue a career as a farrier and horse trainer, turning her lifelong passion for horses into a profession. Her strong work ethic, determination, and love for the equine industry make her an outstanding candidate for 2026 Huron County Horse Queen.

Meet Carlee Covington! 🐴👑

Carlee Covington is a proud member of the Rough Riders 4-H Club and a recent graduate of Wellington High School. With a passion for horses, agriculture, and leadership, she is honored to be competing for the title of 2026 Huron County Horse Queen.

During high school, Carlee served as an officer in the Wellington FFA Chapter for two years and is currently working toward earning her American FFA Degree, one of the organization's highest honors.

This year, Carlee is showing her Mustang, Ivy, and enjoys competing in rodeos throughout the season. Her hard work and dedication paid off at the 2026 Ohio State Fair, where she earned an impressive 6th-place finish in Pole Bending.

Whether she's competing in the arena, representing her 4-H club, or continuing her involvement in FFA, Carlee demonstrates leadership, determination, and a true passion for the equine industry. She is excited for the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for the Huron County horse community.

👑 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty King Contestant Spotlight 👑

Meet Austin Purdy! 🐴👑

Austin attends Western Reserve High School and is a dedicated member of the Rough Riders 4-H Club, where he currently serves as Club President. After proudly representing the Huron County Horse Program as the 2025 Horse Prince, Austin is excited to continue his journey as a candidate for 2026 Huron County Horse King.

This year, Austin is showing his mare, Echo, and has already enjoyed an outstanding show season. At the 2026 Ohio State Fair, he placed 5th in Stakes Race, 10th in Keyhole, and 4th in Barrels, showcasing his hard work, determination, and partnership with Echo.

When he's not at the barn, Austin stays busy competing in football, wrestling, and trap shooting. A standout athlete, he is a state-level wrestler and has also qualified for the National Trap Shooting Championship, demonstrating his commitment and success across multiple sports.

Austin's leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication make him an exceptional role model both in and out of the arena. Whether he's leading his 4-H club, competing with Echo, or encouraging others, he represents the very best of the Huron County horse community.

👑 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Princess Contestant Spotlight 👑

Meet Mallory Hanko! 💚🐴

Mallory is an energetic 11-year-old who will be entering 6th grade at Firelands this fall. A true social butterfly, Mallory has never met a stranger! Her bubbly personality, kind heart, and contagious enthusiasm make her a friend to everyone she meets.

This year, Mallory will be showing her Quarter Horse, Forest, in western classes at the Huron County Fair. Her passion for horses began at just 2 years old after a babysitter introduced her to the movie Spirit. From that moment on, horses captured her heart. She started taking riding lessons at Chappel Creek Barn while she was still in pull-ups, attended every horse camp she could, and dreamed of owning a horse until that dream finally became a reality.

Today, Mallory spends countless hours at the barn riding, learning, and caring for her horses. Along the way, she has experienced both the challenges and the rewards that come with owning and showing horses, but she continues to face each day with determination, a smile, and a desire to keep improving.

When she's not at the barn, Mallory enjoys traveling, snowmobiling, competing in grass drag races, and helping her dad on the farm. Whether she's caring for animals, tackling a new adventure, or lending a helping hand, Mallory brings enthusiasm and positivity to everything she does.

With her passion for horses, adventurous spirit, and caring personality, Mallory is an outstanding candidate for 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Princess.

👑 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Prince Contestant Spotlight 👑

Meet Bishop Whitt! 🐴💙

Bishop will be entering 9th grade at Western Reserve this fall and is an active student who enjoys staying involved both in school and in his community. He participates in robotics, peer leadership, baseball, football, track, and trap shooting, demonstrating his dedication both in and out of the classroom.

A proud member of the Rough Riders 4-H Club, Bishop currently serves as the club's Vice President. This year, he will be exhibiting Harley in contesting events at the Huron County Fair. Earlier this season, Bishop and his pony, Hailey, earned the exciting accomplishment of qualifying for the Ohio State Fair. Bishop is the 2025 1st runner up Prince.

When he's not riding or participating in school activities, Bishop enjoys knife throwing, collecting cassette tapes, building with LEGOs, and creating woodworking and wood-burning projects. His wide variety of interests showcases both his creativity and curiosity.

Known for his strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to help others, Bishop is always ready to lend a hand. His goals this year include having a successful fair season with his horse, earning the title of 2026 Huron County Horse Prince, and preparing for another great year of sports.

Meet Lily Ge**er! 💙🐴

Lily Ge**er is a dedicated member of the Huron County 4-H Horse Program whose passion for horses, leadership, and service has shaped her journey both in and out of the show arena.

Throughout her years in 4-H, Lily has served as both Club President and Safety Officer, demonstrating her commitment to leadership and responsibility. She also spent two years on the Huron County Junior Fair Board, helping support youth programs and county fair activities. Her dedication to the horse program was recognized with the prestigious Huron County 4-H Horse Achievement Award.

Outside of 4-H, Lily is a proud member of the Ohio University Western Equesestrian Team, where her dependability and positive attitude earned her the Most Reliable Member Award from her teammates. She was also honored as the Runner-Up for the 2025 Huron County Horse Queen, an accomplishment that inspires her as she returns to compete again this year.

Lily enjoys working with horses and is always striving to improve her horsemanship skills. Through her experiences, she has developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, and she is honored to be a candidate for 2026 Huron County Horse Queen.

👑 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Princess Contestant Spotlight 👑

Meet Makenzie Westfall! 💜🐴

Makenzie is a dedicated member of the Bronc Busters 4-H Club and recently celebrated her 10th birthday! She is a hardworking, compassionate young lady with a love for learning, helping others, and spending time with animals.

Makenzie enjoys staying active by playing softball and soccer, while also expressing her creativity through diamond art, painting, and coloring. She loves cooking for family and friends, playing the piano, and is proudly homeschooled through what her family affectionately calls the "Westfall Academy," where math is her favorite subject.

This year, Makenzie is looking forward to an exciting milestone—her first Huron County Fair with her horse, Bo! Last year, she rode Chico and competed alongside her cousin, Bishop, in the Junior Gymkhana Championship, where they earned Reserve Champion honors. She also proudly serves as the Health and Safety Officer for the Bronc Busters 4-H Club and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed.

When she's not at the barn or the fairgrounds, Makenzie enjoys spending time with her horse, her dogs Butterscotch and Stella, and caring for her 60 chickens and goat. She also loves making memories with her sister, Peyton, and her brother, Maverick.

👑 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Princess Contestant Spotlight 👑

Meet Peyton Westfall! 🐴💙

At just 14 years old, Peyton has been passionate about horses for as long as she can remember. She entered her very first horse show at only 15 months old in the Pony Show at the Huron County Fair, and her love for the equine world has only grown stronger ever since.

Peyton has been a member of the Bronc Busters 4-H Club since her Cloverbud days and currently serves as the club's Recreation Officer. She is also a proud member of the Equine Differences YEDA Team, where she finished the season ranked 23rd in the nation in Junior High Emerald Pattern Horsemanship. In addition, Peyton is active in the Ignite Youth Group at Camden Baptist Church.

Homeschooled through the PATH program, Peyton also works part-time at Equine Differences Training & Boarding Facility, where she continues to expand her horsemanship knowledge and gain hands-on experience. She has dedicated herself to learning multiple riding disciplines, including showing, jumping, contesting, reining, ranch riding, western pleasure, and English equitation.

This show season, Peyton will compete with Blue in English and ranch events and Zippy in contesting events, with hopes of qualifying for the Ohio State Fair in contesting.

When she's not at the barn, Peyton enjoys playing the piano, reading, and drawing. As she prepares to enter ninth grade, she is already working toward her dream of becoming a professional horse trainer while pursuing a future in equine forensics.

👑 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Princess Contestant Spotlight 👑

Meet Korra Hurst! 💙🐴

Korra is 11 years old and will be entering 5th grade at Monroeville Elementary School. She has been a dedicated member of 4-H for the past two years and loves every opportunity to learn and grow through the program.

When she's not spending time at school or with her four sisters, Korra enjoys volunteering at local barns and at Boondock Boarding and Rescue, where she helps care for the animals. Her passion for horses shines through in everything she does, especially when she's riding her horse, Whoopsa.

Korra also enjoys swimming and is always eager to try new things. Whether she's learning a new skill, lending a helping hand, or heading off on her next adventure, she embraces every experience with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Her fair colors are navy blue and light green, and we're excited to see all she accomplishes as she competes for the title of 2026 Huron County Horse Royalty Princess!
