Therapy provides a safe space where, similar to visiting a doctor, the information you share with a licensed therapist is private and protected. It’s also a non-judgmental environment. Unlike conversations with friends or family, a therapist maintains a neutral and unbiased perspective, offering guidance without personal involvement.

During each session, you are the focus. You set the agenda and have dedicated time. Typically, a full 45 minutes to express your thoughts, feelings, and concerns freely without interruption. It’s your personal time to be heard, supported, and understood.

Progress in therapy doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like:
• Better boundaries
• Healthier coping skills
• Feeling more aware of your emotions
• Improved relationships

Healing happens gradually.

Small changes over time often lead to big growth.

Therapy isn’t just for adults.

Children, teens, couples, and families can all benefit from therapy.

Different types of therapy are designed to support people at every stage of life.

Mental health support should be accessible for everyone.

💬 At what age do you think kids should be introduced to therapy?

Let’s talk in the comments.

The relationship between you and your therapist matters.

If you don’t feel comfortable or connected, it’s okay to talk about it or find another therapist.

Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and supported.

Finding the right therapist is a little like finding the right pair of shoes — the fit matters.

💬 Did you know it’s okay to switch therapists if it’s not the right fit?

Comment YES or NO.

One of the most common questions about therapy is:

“How long will it take?”

The honest answer is… it depends.

Some people come to therapy for a few months to work through a specific challenge.

Others stay longer for deeper healing and personal growth.

Therapy isn’t about rushing the process.

It’s about creating meaningful and lasting change.

💬 What’s something you wish more people understood about therapy?

One of the most important parts of therapy is confidentiality.

What you share in therapy stays private.

There are only a few situations where therapists are required to break confidentiality, such as when someone may be in danger.

Your therapist will explain this clearly so you always understand your rights and privacy.

Therapy works best when you feel safe and supported.

💬 Was confidentiality something you wondered about before starting therapy?

“How often should I go to therapy?”

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

Many people begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and support.

As progress happens, sessions may move to bi-weekly or monthly.

Your therapist will work with you to find a schedule that supports your goals.

💬 If you’ve been to therapy before, what schedule worked best for you?

Your experience might help someone else.

“I want to try therapy but I don’t even know what I would say.”

If you’ve ever thought this, you’re not alone.

Many people walk into therapy unsure where to start.

That’s okay.

Therapists are trained to guide conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and help you explore what’s coming up for you.

You don’t have to have all the answers before you begin.

💬 Did this ever stop you from trying therapy?

Comment YES or NO.

A common myth about therapy is that you need to be in a crisis to go.

The truth is… you don’t.

People go to therapy for:
• Stress and burnout
• Life transitions
• Relationship challenges
• Personal growth
• Feeling overwhelmed

Therapy isn’t just for when things fall apart.

It can also help you build the life you want.

💬 What’s one thing people misunderstand about therapy?

Let’s talk about it in the comments.
