Our esteemed string ensemble returns for an intimate program of English consort music from the Renaissance, along with a fascinating work for viols from the 21st century! Featured composers include Orlando Gibbons, William Byrd, Anthony Holborne, John Dowland, and Larry Wallach.

Arcadia Players welcomes a new Artistic Director, Andrew Arceci, to lead Arcadia Players concerts, beginning in March, 2022. Chosen from three finalists, Andrew will conduct Arcadia's ensembles from an unusual position - that of viola da gamba or bass. (Most are led by a keyboard or violin player.)
Arcadia Players is very pleased to have Mr. Arceci on board, given his extensive knowledge of early music and his enthusiasm for introducing it to audiences. Arcadia Players audiences are located in Western Massachusetts and beyond.

Margaret Irwin Brandon founded Arcadia Players, and was its Artistic Director for 15 years. Ian Watson was Arcadia's second Artistic Director, again holding the post for 15 year. We look forward to Andrew continuing to grow our organization for another 15 years and beyond.
