Family Diversity Projects is so proud to be a sponsor of the Transhealth Freedom to be Ourselves Annual Benefit on Saturday, May 16th at 7:30pm at the Academy of Music in Northampton, MA. Join us as we celebrate and support Transhealth’s mission of protecting and expanding access to gender-affirming care with an unforgettable evening that will illuminate the power of hope, the warmth of joy, and the courage required to live authentically.

Joined this year by special guest Mercury Stardust, we’ll ask about her experience being invited into people’s homes and hearts as “The Trans Handy Ma’am” and as an educator, author, performance artist, fundraiser and advocate for trans rights and healthcare. We’ll talk with them about where she finds joy in difficult times, how she uses creativity and craft as tools for health and wellness, why showing up for our communities is so important, and—as someone with an influential platform—what her advice is to anyone wanting to use their own voice to make a difference in the world.

Celebrate trans and nonbinary people in your neighborhood with Authentic Selves! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Developed in collaboration with PFLAG National and Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund, Family Diversity Project’s traveling exhibit, Authentic Selves, explores gender identity while offering a compelling look at the challenges and the triumphs of remarkable trans and nonbinary people, and their loved ones. With stunning photographs and first-person interviews, this exhibit seeks to challenge damaging myths and stereotypes about trans and nonbinary people and to educate people about this community.

Authentic Selves can be used in schools, colleges, houses of worship, libraries, museums, conferences, and workplaces to help create safer environments. Bring this celebratory exhibit to your community, along with the companion book, which features a foreword by trans activist, Jazz Jennings, and her mother Jeanette, as well as a preface by Brian K. Bond, CEO of PFLAG National.
