Our first inductee into the SVAHS Hall of Fame is Bethany Evangelista. Beth is a 2004 graduate of our Animal Science program and has been teaching in that department since 2013. She graduated from SUNY Cobbleskill with degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Business and Education. In addition to teaching, Beth maintains the cheese-making facility on her family's farm, continues to be deeply involved in FFA, and helped found the school's travel club. We will be unveiling the 5 members of the SVAHS Alumni Hall of Fame inaugural class over the next week! These alumni were selected for their achievements after graduation and contributions to the school and/or the community at large. With a history as long and storied as ours, the number of eligible alumni is quite large, making the selection difficult. The group will be honored at this year's Alumni Banquet on June 13.
Congratulations to the SVAHS Hall of Fame Class of 2026!

πŸ”₯ Blue Collar Scholarship Awards Are Here! πŸ”₯

The Smith Vocational Alumni Association are proud to celebrate the next generation of hardworking trades students who prove that success isn’t just measured in grades; it’s measured in skill, grit, and dedication.

This year, we’re building BIG excitement with multiple awards going directly to students who excel in their trade 😎

We are honored to award:

πŸ’΅ Two $500 Scholarships to students who demonstrate excellence in their vocational field.

This is what community looks like; alumni, and neighbors coming together to invest in the future of skilled trades.

πŸ‘ May 27, 2026 we will be celebrating the students who show up, work hard, and keep the blue-collar spirit alive. The future is bright, and it’s built by skilled hands. πŸ’™
