I have spent tons of money, years and years of my life ,blood,sweat,tears, to build a club that reflects family values, and embodies brotherhood! This club has been thru the s**t way too many times, but here’s a little tidbit, let me scream so those in the back can hear! MAYEM RIDERS FOREVER,FOREVER MAYHEM RIDERS!!!! The set is full of schoolyard bullies, and egomaniacs that think they are top dog, I did everything correctly in 2008 when I started this club, I got all permissions from all the dominates! So to those that think otherwise , and don’t want to be friends, and would rather be Enemies, join the line motherf**kers! I have people that hate me just for existing, this world is fu**ed up right now, and the set isno different! You know how to contact me , you have issues lets settle them cause im going no where! We can get more done by being friends!!!!!!

There’s two ways to lead a club.

One rides the front, cutting the wind, setting the pace, taking the first hit when the road turns bad. That’s the spearhead; visible, loud, and easy to judge.

The other rides the tail, watching mirrors, counting heads, making sure no brother gets left behind. He doesn't chase glory, he carries responsibility.

The front shows where we’re going.
The back makes sure we all get there.

A real club needs both. And a real leader knows when to be seen… and when to stay behind.

The Process

So you want to be in an MC. Good. There’s a lot of good in MCs and your life will be richer for it.

But how to do it?

Step one – research.
List out what you want to accomplish. Is it lots of riding? Hanging with guys who like to party and have a good time? Community service? Some combination of all these things? The important thing is, you know what you’re looking for in a club. Then start to look at the various clubs in your area. Which ones seem to fit closest to what you want.

Step two – Contact.
The best way is to meet the club face to face. Just walk up to any member and tell them you’ve done a little research into their club and you like what you see. Let him know you’re interested in attending any events you may be invited to. A good club will have a process in place to get you started. You can also contact them through their website or other social media but this is strictly to set up a face to face. Don’t start asking detailed questions on line.

Step Three – the unofficial hang around
Attend the open functions. Exchange contact info if the club is willing. Talk to the guys and see if these are the people you want to hang around with. In short, ask yourself if this looks like it could be a family you want to join based on what information you have at this point. If it is, then let the club know. This is not a time to be shy. Tell them what you’re thinking and if you want to move forward, say so.

Step four – Official Hang Around.
You may be invited to become an official Hang Around at this point. If so, congratulations. You are now on the road to becoming a member. The Hang Around time is your time. You have no (or very few) responsibilities to the club. It is a time for you to get to know the club (and they you) so you can make a better decision on moving forward or not. If you like what you see then again, don’t be shy. Tell them. One last thing, while you do not have any (or very many) responsibilities to the club, you should remember the phrase – dress for the job you want, not the job you have. So if you want to be a prospect for this club – start to act like one. Shadow the prospects and do what they do voluntarily. This will get noticed.

Step five – Prospect
This is when the club will test, teach and decide if you are a good fit for who the club is. A good club will again, have a process in place to teach you how to represent the club in public and how to do things the club way. It may seem arbitrary to you, as a prospect at times, but if done correctly, it will all come together in the end and make sense.
