RYA Softball's 10U Lady Hawks Premier Team

Thank you again to Reagan Jordan for coming out to assist with batting practice! We had six of our girls get hits into fair territory last night off of Reagan, with Joselyn leading the team with two hard hits!

It was a long night last night with a late-night game in Grapevine, but the girls showed up defensively.

Avery pitched 7 strikeouts in 3 innings of work, Olivia had two outs at 1B with a groundout and a great catch on a popout in foul territory, and Reagan had a good tagout on an attempted steal of home following a passed ball. (Couple of videos in the comments - not the best camera angle, but watching the girls' reactions to play was great, too.)

The girls dropped the game 6-2 against a strong opponent from Grapevine, but the progress we've seen has been phenomenal improvement in their defensive play. We're also proud of the girls picking up their teammates when they stumble and persevering despite some circumstances.

Great work Lady Hawks and up next is an early morning game in Southlake this weekend!

How it started vs. how it's going -

All softball players started somewhere and we wanted to share some photos of how our current Lady Hawks players started and where they're at now!

The girls taking in a BHS Hawk Softball game tonight and were excited to see a Lady Hawks home run in the second inning!

We had a great day today with two games! The Lady Hawks had some stellar pitching, good catching, fun defensive plays, and strung together some hits!

On the mound, the girls combined for 13 strikeouts in 6 innings - Olivia and Avery each collected 5 a piece and Amelia added 3 more. During the second game, the girls strung together a nice set of hits, a few RBIs, and put the second game out of reach. Good defensive plays all around with outs collected by Emma, Tatum, Joselyn, Reagan, Avery, Amelia, and Olivia. Strong outfield defense from Faith kept two hard hits to right field down to just singles.

The girls went 1-1 today and they look ready to go down the stretch of the regular season to finish strong!

Been a fun couple of weeks as the season got started up!

Pitching - Avery is leading the team with 4 strikeouts in 3 innings, Olivia has 3 strikeouts in 2 innings, and Tatum collected a strikeout over the weekend also.

Catching - Joselyn, Olivia, and Reagan have all caught runners stealing on the bases, with Olivia leading the team with 4 caught in two appearances.

Batting - Emma has a team-leading .750 batting average, 4 runs scored, and 6 stolen bases!

Fielding - We've seen good plays with fly-outs to Amelia at SS and good defensive play by a number of fielders.

We're looking forward to another double-header this weekend and hopefully some cooler weather coming around the corner!

Thank you to Reagan Jordan for coming out to our practice tonight and throwing some batting practice for the girls! The team had a blast hitting off her tonight as Emma, Joselyn, and Olivia all had some good contact off the faster pitches!

The RYA Lady Hawks have their official opening game this Saturday in Southlake and we're looking forward to kicking off the regular season!

We're excited to announce our Fall 2026 roster!

We're looking forward to a great season this fall and we're glad we've been able to get a few practices in with the heatwave we've had. The girls have been working hard and are ready for games to kick off soon.

08/09/2026

We had a number of our Spring 2026 RYA Lady Hawks players playing games this weekend at the USSSA All-State Tournament and two of them went into the 10U Championship game!

Congrats to Bella's team for coming out as champions and to Julianna's team for finishing as Finalists!

We have almost finalized our roster for this Fall!

It's been great seeing all the girls come out for tryouts and we've seen a bunch of fantastic players. We've got ten stellar players on the roster and we're looking to add just one more player if we can find the right fit.

If you're interested in coming out, fill out the Google Form on our website and we'll get something set up.
