Today I’m sharing something very difficult for our family. Tank has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and it has spread to other organs, including his liver.
Right now my focus is on keeping him comfortable and surrounding him with the love of his family and friends. Because of this, I will be stepping back from rescue work for a little while so I can spend as much time as possible with Tank, Koda, Apollo, and Teddy. Our time together is very precious, and I want to make every moment count.
Tank has been such a huge part of our family. He had a very rough start in life, but he grew into the most loving, goofy, gentle soul. Anyone who knows our home knows that Tank has always been the one I introduce to new rescues first. When we have puppies in the house, he turns into “Mama Tank” and takes care of them like they’re his own.
He has helped so many dogs feel safe and loved over the years, and he has filled our home with so much joy.
I truly thought we would have more time with him, so the next few weeks will be very hard for our family. If you could keep Tank in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean the world to us.
Also, if you know my nieces or nephews, please don’t mention this yet, as we haven’t shared the news with them.
If you don’t see me around much for a while, it’s because I’m spending every bit of time I can with my sweet boy and the rest of our little pack.
Thank you all for always being there for us and for loving Tank along with our family. He is deeply loved, and always will be. ❤️
