Today I’m sharing something very difficult for our family. Tank has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and it has spread to other organs, including his liver.

Right now my focus is on keeping him comfortable and surrounding him with the love of his family and friends. Because of this, I will be stepping back from rescue work for a little while so I can spend as much time as possible with Tank, Koda, Apollo, and Teddy. Our time together is very precious, and I want to make every moment count.

Tank has been such a huge part of our family. He had a very rough start in life, but he grew into the most loving, goofy, gentle soul. Anyone who knows our home knows that Tank has always been the one I introduce to new rescues first. When we have puppies in the house, he turns into “Mama Tank” and takes care of them like they’re his own.

He has helped so many dogs feel safe and loved over the years, and he has filled our home with so much joy.

I truly thought we would have more time with him, so the next few weeks will be very hard for our family. If you could keep Tank in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean the world to us.

Also, if you know my nieces or nephews, please don’t mention this yet, as we haven’t shared the news with them.

If you don’t see me around much for a while, it’s because I’m spending every bit of time I can with my sweet boy and the rest of our little pack.

Thank you all for always being there for us and for loving Tank along with our family. He is deeply loved, and always will be. ❤️

Rescue work involves different roles — trappers, fosters, 501(c)(3) rescues, and municipal shelters. When there is an open case, intake at the city shelter is required by law. It’s not a personal choice. It’s a legal process designed to give owners an opportunity to reclaim and to document the animal properly. I will always follow the law.

❤️ SAFE TONIGHT ❤️

After many days of running scared and lost, we were finally able to safely trap this sweet girl tonight.

She has been spotted all over, frightened and unsure, even with so many kind people trying to help her. Today she was almost hit multiple times on the road, and it became clear that getting her safely off the streets was urgent. Setting a humane trap was the safest way to prevent her from being injured or worse.

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped — the people who put food out, called in sightings, kept eyes on her, shared posts, and offered support. Because of all of you caring and working together, she is now safe.

Right now she is decompressing and resting after a very stressful few days. We will share updates as we learn more.

This is what community looks like. It truly takes a village. 🐾

Fosters have been found.

🍫 Chocolate Lab Girl Looking for Her Second Chance 🍫

Temp foster is dealing with cancer in her house so needs a foster or adopter.

This beautiful 7–10 month old chocolate Lab has been through more than any young dog should… she was left behind when her family moved away. Despite that, she is incredibly loving, gentle, and ready to bond with someone who won’t leave her again.

She has a calm, respectful nature in the home and is already showing what a wonderful companion she’ll be.

✨ What we know about her:
✔️ Potty trained
✔️ Kennel trained (no accidents in crate or house)
✔️ Walks on leash
✔️ Knows how to sit
✔️ Great with other dogs — loves to play
✔️ Quiet — only barks when she needs to go outside
✔️ Very respectful of the home and belongings
✔️ Loves cuddles

She does take a little time to warm up to new people, which is completely understandable given her situation. Once she trusts you, she is affectionate, sweet, and wants to be close.

She does jump when excited, so she’ll benefit from some continued basic training — but she’s young, smart, and eager to learn.

We were not provided any veterinary or vaccine records when she was left behind, so she will need to receive vetting and be spayed. We will ensure she gets what she needs.

She hasn’t quite figured out the doggie door yet, but with a little time and encouragement she absolutely will.

This girl doesn’t just need a home… she needs someone willing to give her the life she deserved from the start. A family to love her, play with her, and show her she’s safe forever.

If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and want to give a deserving dog a second chance, she could be your girl. ❤️

Please reach out if you’d like to meet her or learn more.

I wanted to share a little update on Tank and ask for some prayers and good thoughts for my big guy. ❤️

Over the last couple of weeks he has become much more lethargic and not quite himself. We started running tests, and the lab work is showing significant changes along with multiple areas of concern that we now need to investigate further.

What makes this especially shocking is that his dental exam and bloodwork in December showed no signs of any problems, and things have progressed very quickly since then.

We’re currently waiting on additional lab and pathology results that should be back this weekend. The specialist who reviewed his X-rays has recommended an ultrasound and additional biopsies so we can understand exactly what is going on and determine the best plan for him.

I’m focusing on keeping him comfortable and soaking up every cuddle I can.

If you could keep Tank in your thoughts and prayers, we would both appreciate it so much.

Update: I was able to get him to eat tonight. We are running tests and should know more soon.

Please send good thoughts, prayers, and positive energy to my sweet boy Tank. ❤️🐾

He stopped eating about two days ago, and now his leg is swollen, so we’re trying to figure out what’s going on and get him feeling better. If you know Tank, you know he’s such a strong, loving soul… seeing him uncomfortable is really hard.

We would appreciate all the prayers and healing vibes while we navigate this and get him the care he needs. I’ll keep everyone updated.

Love you, buddy. We’ve got you. 💙

Fosters have been found.

We need a little human kindness right now. ❤️

Two young chocolate lab girls — about 7-10 months old — were recently found after being left behind in a home when a family moved out. They don’t understand what happened… they only know their people never came back.

Right now they are safe, but this is a very temporary situation. We are working quickly to line up vetting and a rescue placement, but what would help the most is someone with a little extra space and a big heart who could offer them a temporary place to land while we coordinate next steps.

Our goal is to keep them out of the shelter if at all possible. They are already confused and scared, and going into a loud, unfamiliar environment would be so hard on them after everything they’ve been through.

It could be a spare room, a quiet corner of your home, or a safe place where they can decompress and feel secure for a short time. They are young, sweet, and deserving of stability after being abandoned.

We will support with supplies and help coordinate everything — you wouldn’t be alone in this.

If you might be able to help, even short-term, please message me privately.
Sometimes the biggest difference in a dog’s life starts with one kind person saying yes.

Please share so we can find the right safe place for these girls. 🐾❤️

Fosters have been found.

FOUND HUSKY — Looking for Family (or Future Family) 🐾

This beautiful young husky boy (approximately 1.5 years old) was found with no microchip and no known history. He was very scared at first, but once he realized he was safe, his true personality started to shine — and he is incredibly sweet, loving, and gentle.

Right now he is safe and decompressing in the magical Muddy Paw “resort” room, getting some much-needed rest and reassurance. He’s done wonderfully settling in and is already showing what a good boy he is.

We are actively looking for:
• His original family (proof of ownership required)
• A foster home during his stray hold
• Or a future adopter once his hold is complete

If you recognize him, or if you might be interested in fostering or adopting, please contact me directly.

Fostering saves lives — it gives dogs like him a safe place to land while we figure out their next chapter.

Please share so we can help this sweet boy find exactly where he belongs. ❤️🐾
