Hi everyone,
We’re excited to invite you to our next Gathering on Saturday, May 2 at 10:00 AM as we come together to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport County in preparing Camp Grosvenor for the summer season.
We’ll kick things off with our usual potluck brunch at the camp, followed by a variety of hands-on projects to help get the space ready for campers and staff. We will have a variety of projects, suitable for all comfort levels and abilities such as:
* Leaf blowing and trail maintenance
* Dining hall deep clean
* Picnic table painting
* Lodge deep cleaning
* ...and more!

* Time: 10:00 AM
* Location: Camp Grosvenor, 11 Miner Road, Saunderstown
* What to bring: A dish to share for brunch and clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty, anything you think might be useful for the projects listed above.

Hello Gatherers!

Happy Spring :) Sorry for the late notice on this month's Gathering, but we're hopeful people are still able to make it.

Our next Gathering will be this Saturday, April 4th. We like to keep you on your toes, so we will be switching up our brunch plans. Instead of our classic potluck brunch, we will be meeting at a new cafe in town, Bucket & the Bean - supporting local! We have coordinated with them to have pastries, etc, ready for our arrival at 10am. After our brunch, we will go over to the John Chafee Nature Preserve (aka Rome Point) for a walk and trash pickup. If you have a trash picker, or would prefer to wear gloves, please bring!

We can't believe it's already almost March! This month is special for us as it is ONE YEAR(!) since our first Gathering.

Our next Gathering will be on Saturday, March 7th. We will be enjoying our classic potluck brunch at 10am, followed by a tour of the Seabee Museum! The museum has offered to host our brunch, so potluck and tour will be happening at the same place!

We hope you had a great holiday season. We are excited to come together again for our February Gathering!

We are thrilled to announce our December Gathering!

Our next Gathering will be on Saturday, December 6th at 10am. We will be doing things a little bit differently this month and instead of a potluck, we will be enjoying the holiday season by hosting a cookie swap! Everyone please bake (or buy) your favorite cookies and we will spend the Gathering catching up and trying each other's cookies! Make sure to bring tupperware to bring home a little bit from everyone 🙂 While we enjoy our cookies, we will make some holiday themed wreaths together!

Additionally, we will be collecting donations for the NK food pantry for the holiday season. If you would like to participate, please bring a non-perishable food item with you and we will bring them all to the food pantry.

Fall is here, and we are ready for our October Gathering!

We’re excited to announce our next Gathering on Saturday, October 4th- we are going apple picking at Narrow Lane Orchard!

We will be meeting at the North Kingstown Community Center at 10am for our potluck brunch. After brunch, we will drive to the orchard and pick apples together! Along with apple picking, there is a nature trail, pond, and lots to explore.

We’re excited to announce our next Gathering on Saturday, September 6th - we are going kayaking in Wickford Harbor!

We will be meeting at the Wickford Town Docks located at 169 Main Street at 10am for our potluck brunch. After brunch, we will launch kayaks from there and start our journey through the harbor! If you have your own kayak(or SUP if you prefer), lifejacket, and paddle, we strongly encourage bringing your own. If you do not, a kayak, lifejacket, and paddle will be provided to you, free of charge. If the weather isn’t looking good, we will have to reschedule/cancel and will reach out closer to the date.

Our second gathering was a success! We had a great potluck brunch followed by a historic walking tour of Wickford with town historian, Tim Cranston. Thank you to all that endured the cold to participate with us!

Join us for our next Gathering: Saturday May 3rd. We will be meeting at Camp Grosvenor at 11am for potluck brunch followed by a camp cleanup. More information and RSVP link to come😁

We appreciate our community members coming out and meeting new people, it’s so lovely to walk around the room and hear how strangers can connect with one another! Our goal remains the same: create a monthly space to strengthen the sense of community between our neighbors.
